I played so much Diablo, that I couldn't spend as much time with Diablo2 that I wanted to (burned out on the point/click). I doubt this would hold my interest for any length of time.
The most fun I had in the original diablo was screwing around with the pk's. I'd open a game called "PK's rot in hell" just to attract them. Me and a couple of guildies were great at doing the "good cop" "Bad cop" routine, then making alts and following the pk's around.
I would play n00bie, Ned Sparrow. I'd ask why my screen turned all red after the guy pk'd me. Then a guildie under another name would say it was because I hadn't registered, and that if I gave him my Dad's credit card number that he could help me. So I did. The PK was saying "Don't tell him!" etc.
We then followed the pk into another game with different names, and he told us all about Ned giving out his credit card number.
Most of the time we'd get the pk's name then follow him around in game and make his life miserable, using different character names of course ;)
Used to be a hoot. But we were only doing crap like that because by then we were bored of the point/click. As I stated, I over-played my welcome with Diablo. Same thing by the time Starcraft came out, I'd played too much Warcraft for it to hold my interest.
