but i gave away or lost their albums over the years and had not listened to them in ages ...

so i just grabbed their whole discography and i cant figure out why i liked them ... its very weird , none of it really appeals to me anymore ... every song i remembered loving sounded totally different and not great at all ...

could just be a phase thing and if i listen to it again in a few months it will grab me again but usually if i hear a song/band i used to like and have not heard in a while its an immediate response ...

so , umm yeah ... just go back to ignoring me ...

I loved them, saw them back when they were touring 2112 with Max Webster (an awesome Canadian band). Then I fell out in my late teens, preferring led zep, neil young etc.

Then re-discovered them and am really hooked again. I love the intricacies and musicianship they display, especially in the few albums immediately after Farewell to Kings. Neil Peart is a Buddy Rich wannabe, and comes pretty damn close to doing so.

Not to mention Alex Lifeson starred on an episode of the Trailer Park Boys, and said "Fuck off Randy" to Randy :D

If you loved Max Webster, Mo, you might want to give a listen to Q107 (CILQ 107.1). Kim Mitchell (Max Webster's front man) does the afternoon show there now and is not averse to playing his own songs.
