Hehehe, the great scourge showed up again last night, so I tried to charm it, since I have the spell that lets me charm animals. "The great scourge cannot be charmed!" Rats (pun intended). Would have been fun to walk into Ardee or Mag Mell with the great scourge following me :D

Instead I had to content myself with charming bears and making them eat frogs.

Oooo, thats cool! I heard that mentalist charm spells were screwed up or something. I never see mentalists with charmed pets. I guess they musta fixed it. That's sweet. I always see albs with ridiculously cool charmed monsters (like those gigantic lions) in RvR. Maybe our Mentalists can start bringing Poophas and other cool monsters to RvR. :D Wouldn't you love to see a Poopha trample down a level 30ish alb? :D

Or just something really huge, even if it isnt super high level. Like the dinosaurs near Connla. Omg! Phants, when you get high enough to charm a dino, let me know. I will wait in Connla with my lowbie character and when you reach town with it I will start running around and yelling "OMG , ITS GODZILLA!!!" Any newbies who just created a character and are like hunting the worms around town will freak the hell out. Then we can take it to RvR. How cool would it be to sic a dino on a keep door? Or charm the amalgamate parth! That thing is pretty big, it would be a hoot to take him on an RvR raid.

I hadn't played with the charm in a while so I wasn't sure how well it was going to work. I started out charming an orchard nipple and made her attack another orchard nipple. She didn't win :( I gradually moved up to higher stuff. With my power regen on I was actually not losing mana (although the gains were very very slow) so it was pretty neat. I have a screenie of me with a charmed azure idolater (big firbolg guy wearing a dress, conned green to me) which was pretty cool. I tried using him to kill an alp luachra, but he sucked ;)

After all the fun, I went out to the battleground and charmed an ire wolf (blue to me). But he wasn't much help when a kobold unstealthed right next to me and took me down in 3 hits :cry: I got a few resists, and I lost control of him once, but a quickcast charm brought him back under my control. When I get my next level of power regen it'll be even better because I won't lose mana as slowly.

I read a story on a mentalist board about a guy who charmed a megafelid outside of DC and ran with it all the way down to IC and freaked a bunch of n00bies out :D I'd like to try something that cons yellow to me, but I'd like to have a group to back me up just in case I lose control of it and can't charm it again. Charming a dino would be sweet! Oh yeah! They were also talking about how they charmed some druid mob and it buffed them! The only problem is when they resist and you have to renew the charm they stop to buff again before fighting. But that's still pretty cool. Having a pookha or a dino attack a keep door would be awesome :p

I still say you should charm some blue mob, then take bets as to whether it can take on another blue mob, then let the two duke it out in a battle royale! Could have a profitable little sideline going.
