been thinking of my final spec for my bm, and i was thinking of getting something with high parry, and high damage. the spec i am looking at is
50 CD (side style is nice, if you can get it off)
39 Blade (been told this affects base damage, can raise to 50 with items, and capped at 50 anyway so i'm told)
41 Parry
11 Shield (get engage at 10, and there was another few points free ;) )

so, any thoughts or comments, would this work?

Id only use Wyds-spec if you plan on only/mostly using CD styles, because style damage is increased with skill past 50. you are right on base damage tho.

edit:
to answer your question, yes this spec will probably work.

50 weapon 50 CD 27 parry 10 shield

Yes, modified 51 weapon caps your base dmg. But still going 50 weapon is better cause you can use the extra slots of SC imbue you'll keep open for better things.

PS: shield doesn't help that much cause you'll never be wielding a shield anyway, unless mythic someday helps dual wielders by allowing shields to be placed in 2H slot for left hand use.

From what I know, Parry is capped at 50, too. As for Weapon or CD I keep them maxed at 50 as well. I know somewhere in my experience I read at least once or twice that there are calcs that pit your score against your enemies using your weapon stat, and your CD stat is not capped from what I know... so having a higher chance to swing both weapons is never really bad to have.

Honestly I'm just keeping my scores adjusted so I can have max weapon / cd and using my RR bonus to have a higher parry.

Grumpy is right though, having the free space to use more imbue points is better.

parry really is pretty much useless in rvr anyway, you should max out your weapon and celtic dual at 50 and then put the remainder in parry.. Also when you're scing you should also put max into weapon and celtic dual (pushing them beyond 50) as this increases your weapon skill significantly.. Parry should only be an afterthought..

It's impossible to screw up a blademaster spec. Just get 39 weapon and 50 CD then spend the rest how you want (parry or more weapon). I would add in parry if you enjoy hunting stealthers at bridges. But if you are in totally grouped ocmbat, you'll never see a parry in RvR.

Then buy charge 3 asap... and voila, you are god.

if you're 50 weapon on a bm you really shouldn't bother with +weapon on your templates. The weaponskill number is just a number anyway. And a good BM will be using nothing but CD styles except for reactives that stun (devast blow/diamondback).

Correct. Blademasters have the CD line, which is solid. If you've ever played a Merc, you have to use a mixture of DW styles along with your base style crush/slash in order to have a decent array of styles to you. I really am enjoying the whole CD line.
