We Captured An Albion Relic

Pugsley, Ailia, and I and about 50 or 60 of Hibernia's finest captured Merlins Staff last night. what a feat! What a treat! We slipped into their realm undetected, assaulted their keep, and busted down all 3 doors. Unfortunately their guards eventually overwhelmed us and we had a total invasion wipeout, with the relic lying on the ground unclaimed in the keep's tower. We reformed.. headed back out, battled our way thru the guards and send our stealth experts into the keep. Pugs, our resident hero, recovered the relic and passed it to invasion leader Draethor. We hurried back thru the gates facing little to no albion resistance, and returned the relic to our relic keep and began to celebrate. What can of worms did we open.. who knows. But this was soo totally awesome. Here is a screenshot of our first defeat just for you..

Hehe...dats me lying on the ground behind the guard on the left with his sword drawn. I got off a good mezz just before that...but alas, it was too late. Hehe.

And you forgot da bestest part, Aas!!! When we got back to retrieve the dropped relic, it was stuck in the floor!!! Pugsley had to do his little "drop through the floor" trick to get it! He saved the day!! Woot!!! Three cheers for Pugsley!!!!

The raid started at 4 am est, and I think we got the relic home at around 7:30. It was a long fight, but man was it awesome!!!

I got some screenies too. But it's almost 8 am and Imma goin ta bed. I'll post them tomorrow. :D

I really wish we had gotten advance notice of this, it would have been great if more of us could have been there.

I went to sleep at 2am when daoc crashed at me and I realized how late it was. Albs were making a serious attempt at our relics. They had a huge huge force in our frontier. They captured 4 of our keeps and we were seriously scared. We got 2 of the keeps back and they went for the relic anyway. Got the front door down to 50% before we were able to fight them off. I was afraid I would wake up this morning to see that the albs had some of our relics. :o

Btw, how many of their keeps did we get before getting the relic? There is no way we attacked their relic keep with them having all 7 uberguards there!

Did the Albs take it back? I don't see (on Herald) that Hibs have it... :(

The relic is still in our possession, Roo.

And Boomy, I think they went straight for the relic. Don't
recall anything about knocking off any keeps along the way.

We went straight to the relic keep, and MAN was that a LONG run. The guards were a major pain in the ass, constant uber spawns. The were well managed until the last pop as we were grabbing the relic. All in all it was pretty incredible.

We had a true element of suprise since we didnt raise any alarms by taking other keeps.

I was on until 3am, and just had to pass out. I figured Draethor was up to something when he said "Anyone around 40+ please stay on for another 2-3 hours". I would've loved to have stayed up to take part, but hey, my kid still wakes up at the same time :)

what's amazing to me is that in all that time hibs were assaulting that keep, not one alb came out to check it. I bet if we go take the other one you will see a bunch of albs quit.
