Mickeyfinn posted the following link...
http://gorillamask.net/cruiseoprah.shtml
It leads to a bikini fishing program. I clicked ok since he'd posted it, and now I'm totally infected with popups etc.
I cleaned out with adware, xoftspy and mcafee scans but am still getting the fugn popups.
Any recommendations?

I just did a search for bikini and deleted a couple files that were still there after I did the remove program thing... we'll see if that stopped it...

Housecall has a new beta scan up that does spyware and security risks too:

also after you use the adware progs download hijackthis.exe (google search it to download) and run it and delete the really funny reg keys. Just be carefull though cause it does list legit keys as well and you could F up your computer even more. Its a very effective app.

If you have any questions on hijack this!, just post it here and either myself, or someone else will take care of it.
I rely on Ad-aware, Spybot, and the new MS beta spyware tool. Running all three seems to clear out 99% of infections in systems. If the spyware is especially tenatious, use all three in safe mode. In safe mode, spyware guaranteed no can defend. Hijack this is a GREAT tool but, yeah, post logs here for Rooster to look at. Hijack this doesn't discriminate between browser hi-jacking programs and what's set up normally on your computer and should be associated with IE or the explorer shell.
Also, google what the spyware removers find. Often times there could be other files associated with the spyware that the tools don't find. The full descriptions are out on the net, though. If the tools can't find it, you can most probably do a search in your own computer after the tools finished and manually delete the problem files.

I like the new MS beta spyware tool. It seems to be the best one I've used. Spyware and adaware never seems to get everything that I needed.

I agree that it is the combination of all 3 that does the best trick though...
