If I have a simple TCP connection to somebody and want to cut it, what is the DOS command for that? Net Stop or somethin right?

net stop/start are for services. Kill whatever process is doing the connection would be the best bet.

Nah, can't do it that way. Say I'm playing a game in Warcraft and I'm hosting a 5v5 but some dick is being a feeder and just suiciding to ruin the game. I need to be able to cut him off gangsta style

well in that case you could use a software firewall and block his IP.

There is no DOS command to kill a single connection. DOS was not built for server management. My advice would be looking into a good TCP/IP traffic management software (IE simple firewall).

I found a way to kill the socket (which is what I wanted), so I'm happy now! I needed to get kill.exe to get it to work. Thanks guys :)

You should learn just STFU when you don't know the answer or do what roo does and be honest.

He (Spyder) is right though.
This is not to say that there isn't a new way to do it... XP has all kinda of cool CLI tricks. (Command Line interface)
And Knewfie, there's no reason to get ugly about it.

so mentioning netstat got me curious.. and I ran it on mine.. but all mine say
localhost: (numbers) in the foreign Address.
Anyone know how I can find out what those are?

Speaking of DOS commands in XP....I've been trying to figure out how to send messages across my home network. I use "Net Send <Computer> <Message>" at work, but I cant get this to work at home. Just 2 computers linked together by 2 port router. Anyone that can help?

If the computers do not have IP addresses you will need to get that setup first. If they do then just change the <computer name> part with the computers IP address.

also make sure the messenger service is started. I believe service pack 2 set it to disabled by default because of all the spam that used to come across it

Definitely have to have the Messenger service running (not MS Messenger).
