What this guy did was really low. I was in tc for about 20 minutes waiting for a group and rezing a couple of people in Funknug's group and finally got into a group. There were 3 of us and one was leaving and Funknug invited Lobos and I into his group. So I am waiting and they start fighting and I am not in group. So I do the invite please to Funknug and nothing happens. So I pm Lobos and ask him what's going on. He tells me Funknug says I'm not high enough lvl and will screw thier experience. He doesn't even have the decency to answer me. So the time is now 16:00 and there is no way for me to get back to ic until light. After about 5 more minutes 2 guys come in and invite me to group with them. One was lvl 29 and other was lvl 36 and I am lvl 25. We were getting great exp they told me that there was no way I was keeping their exp down. Same thing later Boomy and I teamed up by ourselves and Boomy was saying he was getting max exp. So I am putting Funknug of the Guild Phoenix Rising on the top of my Llama List. He has really sourred me on helping others and I have sent an email to his guild stating the above.

1. Funknug Guild Phoenix Rising :dead:
2. Aerothorn
3. Finwe

Wise man say -

The level 25 druid you help level today, may soon become the level 40 druid that roots the viking bezerker who is kicking your butt and gives you a 600hp heal so you can turn around and kill that bezerker for 1000 realm points.

I still haven't figured out how the exp thing works. I was in the mines, grouped with a bunch of 42ish people, I was the lowest in the group at 39. I was getting 4-6 million per kill, and we were killing purple monsters. Then I grouped with Dape (me at 39, him at 25) and I was getting over 10 million for killing oranges. I would think that I would be getting max experience when i was the lowest level in the group, killing monsters that were red/purple to the higher levels, but I got over double the experience killing monsters that were only orange to me, with someone 14 levels below me in the group. Maybe group size causes a bigger experience penalty than level difference. If this is true, its really sucks. I thought daoc was supposed to reward us for grouping, because grouping is more fun. Although later on, I was in the bog, again in a full group of people all in their 40s and I was getting 9-10 mil per kill again. Maybe the purples in the bog are just way more purple than the purples in the mines.

Dape, just out of curiosity, what class and level was Funknug?

He was class Jackass and Level Lowlife.

Can't remember I only wrote his name and guild but I think he was a fighter of some sort at lvl 30.

LOL, a level 29ish hero/champ thinks he is better off without a level 25 druid in the group?

This guy isn't a llama, he is a moron. A level 29ish hero probably has about 600-700 hps. With your heals he actually has about 2000-3000 hps during a battle. Maybe he had another druid lined up, but still, more druids means less downtime and quicker leveling. One druid has to rest between each battle for healjuice. Two druids don't have to rest as long because they split the healing. Three druids means you can fight purples instead of reds and not need to rest at all (its not that simple, depends on other circumstances, but you get the idea).

Your exp cap the way I understand it is yellow + 10%.

So, if you were to kill an orange grouped with a second person, you'd both get yellow exp (halved). If it's a high orange both of you should hit your respective caps. Note that if the monster is worth 20 mil exp and you're grouped with a level 25 and kill it, you won't both get 10 mil. You'll get 10 mil at 39, the 25 will get in the neighborhood of 1 mil, and the rest is thrown away (both getting what they *would get* from soloing a high yellow at their level).

Exp seems to be capped based on con. Me in a group of 8, 35-41, fighting abysmals is dividing a high purple 8 ways. So, logically, everyone is gonna get high blue to low yellow exp.

Common knowledge states now that lower levels in the group ruin exp. They do to an extent, but not as badly as people think. If a tank turned down a nurture spec'd Druid he's a flat out moron. More than a few times I've gotten 25th to 30th level bards into Mine Pit groups full of 38-42 level people. Abysmals are fully twice the level of a 25 bard, yet that particular class is necessary if you wanna eliminate downtime ;). I wouldn't be inviting shades or other rangers to join such a group so far above their heads for instance, but a good bard and a good druid are hard to come by, I won't pass up either as long as they're within 10-15 levels.

I wouldn't have been upset if he just turned me down. He invited us to join his group. He told us to disband, invited the other guy (who was a higher lvl fighter) and then just left me out in the cold with out so much as a reply. I've been turned down by groups before and i have no problem with that. In fact in fact i've even been turned down by my own brother. :cheese:
How he did it and what he did is what really pisses me off.

I don't know about that yellow +10%. I've heard that from Mythic -- but I tell ya what, I kill a yellow and get 75% exp of what me & and Muri get from killing an orange.

Now if me & Muri kill a high red, we get 2x EXP vs a low orange.

(Muri and I can normally handle TWO reds). :D

Ah, I didn't get it the first time I read it! He told you guys to disband so he could invite you, then after yall disbanded he invited the other guy and not you! Omg that is so lame. So he basically lied to you to steal a guy from your group.

Tell you what. Next time you want to join up with me in "The Pit" in the mines, ignore my advice and just come right on down by yourself. I'll be happy to join up with you.

In fact, if you make it? I'll even drop out of a full group just so you can join.:p

Speaking of the mines, how are the drops for you guys on Percival?

I'm thinking after a certain area or creature becomes overly camped, drops become nothing. I've been down there the last couple weeks after armor and a bow (the bladed reinforced and the shadow walker bow). Got only the leggings so far, lots of Shadow Orbs, and that's about it. Occasional piece of scale for our tanks and a drum or two for the bards. Most seems to come from wees, very little from abysmals.

Then, we fight past weeweres in the corner last night and go down to the room with the empyrian guardians, and find 3 drops in about 30 mins from the golems, lodes, unseelies, and groovers, including a Shadow Rapier (very rare piercer).

Thinking about trying to get two groups together to fight guardians tomorrow, seeing as I've never heard of them being killed, with all of the 45+ groups in the bog nowadays ;).
