Can anyone get in touch with Norganna who made Enchantrix, Auctioneer and the Gatherer Addon?
The problem is that he/she hardcoded the names of the items and the parts they can disenchant into with english strings.
Using the German client her database is completely useless to me and adding new data with disenchanting items doesnt work (may be a problem with german special letters: ü ä ö ß). Translating the Staff of Westfall into Stab von Westfall for instance worked and made it show up correctly ingame. however the same with Green Silken Armor into Grüne Seiden-Rüstung did not work probably cause of the 2 ü's.
Both Gatherer, Auctioneer and the fundamental Lootlink work perfectly however so there must be something she/he can do.
I cant get into touch with her myself because I cant post on the US WoW Boards with my EU account. :/
thx in advance,
cop

Post on www.curse-gaming.com in the comment section. I notice authors sometime respond there.

sounds like time to hurry up and wait or figure out how to fix it on your own =/

yeah I searched a bit more and found a translated version, but only the essences, shards and dusts have been translated, not the item database so you basically start out completely empty.

wait.. isn't that how all the versions work? they store the items in your SavedVariables.lua file as you come across/disenchant them?

I thought it had some compilation cuz every item that is sellable has a merchant value or does it pull that from WoW itself?
err talking about enchantrix, I was thinking auctioneer. Just stop using goofy characters to type. :p

I know its kind of a lame solution, but you could always use the letters instead of the symbols (IE: ue for ü, oe for ö,ae for ä, etc) That would at least solve that issue.

rid - lootlink (which does vendor values) gets the items, and then their values as you encounter them. if you loot a brand new item you've never seen before you won't know the price until you go to the vendor. and if you lose your SavedVariables.lua (remember to back this up once in a while - it is easy to lose) your lootlink db will be empty

yeah, but enchantrix comes with a huge database of items so you dont have to start out empty. that way you know right from the start into what your items will disenchant.

Yeah I realize that now (was talking to a friend at work about it).
The database IS your savedvariables.lua, which is a straight text file. You can edit it all you want.

but you cant translate the item datanbase without knowing what the names of items are exactly for both languages

.... okay... so you expect the mod author to do it?
