Instance runs for mage is waste of time.

The high end mage set sucks for rvr. Who'd want to pvp in a caster set with only +28 stam. Even my green gear is better then that. Add to the fact that if mage want to get the best gear, they'll have to compete with twice as many people as compared to warrior/shaman/druid/hunter/rogues. It really sucks to be a mage trying to get the best gear.

and even with how crappy the mage set it, I have been on a ton of runs and gotten none of the parts.

i'm not all that clued up on every aspect of the game, but is there any way that, if all the rest of the stats and all are good, you could maybe get an enchanter to boost up your hits/stam?
dunno if that's possible or not, i'm only a lvl 22 noob :)

It's not going to do much. Pretty big differnce between a +28 stam mage set and a +110 stam warlock set.

are you running into stiff resistence when rolling for dreadmist with locks in the group? or do you even try?

as a priest the dreadmist interests me, but the devout isnt as imbalanced as the mage set.

its almost like they set up the dreadmist to be contested... it seems to me that the set bonusses dont get very warlock specific till the last piece you get.

I haven't been able to roll on any dreadmist yet. Haven't seen any of it drop either but a lot of the time it's 'class first'.

Rolling against warlock has been a sticking point on a number of raids. My explanation is that I play on a pvp server and need +stam/+int gear. I don't waste my time to run raids just to get gear that I never wear. Most of the time I set up my own raids and lay down the rules one of which is no class restriction on the cloth sets. If warlocks don't like it they don't have to attend. Nowadays, I just don't invite em to avoid the mess. Two shaman in a 10 person raid works fine for wipe recovery. I'm getting pretty good at running scholo now so we hardly wipe there.

I've just been collecting the best eagle or equivalent (arcane gloves/pants) as I can find them on the AH. Got Arcane Gloves for 4g last night.

With that I'm pretty close to as good as I can get, close enough that it's not worth tons of runs for another 100 mana.
