2 rouge 3 pally group would be good.. plenty of healing and with rogue damage and low downtime it would move fast. Bosses might give some issue if they a higher then OJ though.

I think that group would have issues with any instance past mauradon tho.

I agree. Groups without a mage, priest, and warrior seem really gimped past maruadon.

Five Person Instance = Priest, Warrior, Mage. The other 2 spots would be best if one was another damage dealer and a secondary healer.

From the alliance side, I think the best setup would be:

Priest (Must have a preist.. no questions)
Mage (Sheep and aoe damage is needed almost everywhere)
Warrior (anyone that thinks a pally can tank like a warrior has never tried the high level instances :D )
Secondary Healer - Druid (or Paladin) Tough call in my opinion. Auras/Blessings vs Druid Buffs
Secondary Damage - Warlock (Rogue or another Mage.. maybe a hunter),

Warlocks are great in raids, especially larger raids (more than one group). Fear is usually useless, but debuffs and DoTs seem to work great.

Rogues seem to be shunned from raids for the most part, but the extra damage and sap are useful. Especially nice when you need a scout out around.

Mages again can sheep which is usually better than sap, plus they can do more damage.. but you have to have good healers and a good warrior to protect more than one

Hunter also dont seem to be welcomed in most raids. Although I like the debuff and the extra damage.. plus they can do some nice CC when played well.

Then again.. I am glad we can do instance with as many people as we want for the most part so you dont have to worry so much about "ideal" groups dynamics... especially since everyone seems to be a rogue :) Who needs a balanced group setup when you can send in 20 rogues?

Fortunately with WoW there is a lot more flexibility as to what will work. I agree a priest is a necessity, but only REALLY if you are trying to AoE because of PW:S. Healing druids can definitely keep up, and for those 10 man raids you can for sure get away with only one priest. Unless it's LBRS, those spiders suck!
