hye guys I need a hand on how to set up my Rogue

I've been punching hotbars for like 57 levels and It's too damm slow, so today I reprogrammed all my buttons and wow it has screwed me up big time.

I use cosmos and had all my styles neatly lined up on my left and right sidebars, left side for combat styles and right side for openers while I stacked my combat timer abilities on my bottom bars left side and kept potions and other functions on my bottom right bars..

In Daoc I could do this because I would spam face and stick as needed but now Im having some movement problems with this set up. either im using the mouse to move or im stuck with forward/back strafe left strafe right while banging buttons with the mouse cursor. no good

today I moved my combat to the #1-6 buttons and, well here it is:

e forward
d back
f strafe right
s strafe left
g nearest enemy
z stunning strike
t cheap shot
1 SS again
2 evis
3 gouge
4 i forget
5 kick
6 kidneyshot

now im having problems moving forward while trying to gouge, or any other function on the keys while moving forward really.

right mouse is mouselook is how I turn and stuff, I hold it down.
left mouse is target.

how do you all do it? I need to speed up a ton to overcome my lag, but slow key mashing + lag is totally killing me.

Ok well instead of that I went an finally got my mouse programmed, so now I have numbers 1-6 programmed into my mouse now.

So now I never have to take my finger off the forward/back strafe left/right keys to fight, nor do I have to take my finger off the mouse look button (right click) to fight.

I can click SS and Evis with my right thumb on the mouse, my pointer finger can click gouge, kick, kidneyshot and ripost...

The rest of my styles are on the hotbar but they don't seem as essential to hit with the most speed as these other ones.

blind, evasion, adreline rush, blade fury etc are on my pop bar and it's easy to clicky those as needed during a gouge or something. My right pop bar has my potions and stuff.

I think this mouse is going to help a ton once I get my fingers to memorize them new buttons :)

Ok I need to know. What mouse are you using and where can I get one?

I think you are being handicapped by the fact that you have to hold down right mouse button the whole time. I think I am being handicapped by the same thing. I just have been too lazy to find a way around it. But it really is dumb, think about it, instead of just holding down that button, you could be using that finger (and that button) to do useful stuff. There must be some command somewhere to bind some key on the keyboard to mouselook. And it needs to be a toggle. Like I mash the spacebar once and I am in mouselook, I mash it again and I get my pointer back. That's the way it was in daoc and CoH. It makes no sense that 90% of the time I am playing WoW (and 100% of the time I am in combat) I have to keep my right mouse button pressed down.

To create a "true mouselook"

/script CameraOrSelectOrMoveStart(arg1);

then

/script CameraOrSelectOrMoveStop(arg1);

To cancel.

create two macros and bind them to keys you don't use.

personally, i like to use the keyboard for movement and the mouse to click on my attacks.

use wasd for movement.
q and e to strafe.
f to target nearest enemy.

if they ever fix pitch up and pitch down, i would only use my keyboard.

once in combat, i almost never touch the mouse. being left handed is sorta different I suppose, but I've never had trouble spamming everything i needed to

I recall a setting in Cosmos to bind mouselook to the keyboard. I recall having it set, but I couldnt get used to it so I removed it. I dont recall where the control was, but I dont think it was too obscure to identify.

Ok here is what I got http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=26-104-151&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE&depa=0

I can totally reccomend this mouse, best I've ever had by far. Its smooth, accurite, buttons are nice and it doesnt freak out like my old optical mouse.. My old one would freak out and spin me 100 times in like 1 second while I was looking straight up at the clouds, really weird

Oh the only thing I don't really care for is the center buttons, the very top one is hard to get at, I think they wanted it to be a page button but I made it into a kidney shot button :P
