View Full Version : Which Buffs do u prefer?
These are my buffs right now. If I were to buff u and u could only pick 3 which 3 would you want? Also let me know what class u r.
Breeze's Dance Dex/Qui buffed 21
Strenght of the Thicket Str/Con buffed 23
Hunters Blow Attack speed buffed 20%
Pricklesprout Dmg shield buffed 1.2
Oak's Girth Con Buff 29
Dexterity of the Baddgerr (my favourtite :) ) Dex buffed 34
Vigor of the Redwood Str buffed 36
Skin of the Redwood AF buffed 31
This is to help me decide which buffs to give to help the best in a group espcially if I am buffing more than one person such as when I am in a group with morety and malk.

Being a champ and lacking the HP a hero has:
Str/Con
Con
Str
AF
Atk Spd
dex/qui
dex
dmg shield: (This gives damg back to attacker?)
The Dex/qui buff
The straight Dex Buff
The attack speed buff
Prime focus for a ranger, it will let me shoot faster and more accurately, as well as do more damage with my dual daggers, since they are somewhat weak for melee (redeeming value being that they attack faster). The ranger's own dex/qui combo self-buff may be higher, in which case i would replace that with damage shield or straight con buff. =) Straight con if they are a primary tank.

If I had to pick three:
(you listed some doubles as singles.. and they cost twice as much -- for not as much effect)
Hunter's Attack
Breeze's Dance
Skin of the Redwood
I'm a speed-blade type of guy. If I can't attack twice as fast as my enemy, I'm not happy! :D
:rolly:
Oak's girth
:rolly:
So yall are willing to admit to needing some extra girth. *giggle*
Seriously though....
If you are in a group with a Warden or Bard, ask them to spread out their buffs first, and let you do yours after. Wardens and Bards have all the same blue buffs that we have. So if they can blue buff everyone, then we might be able to afford to dish out those expensive yellow double buffs.
If I am in a large group and really have to spread out my buffs thin, I give all the fighter types the blue const, the blue AF, and the yellow hunter's blow. That way all fighters get a nice boost to life/defense/attack speed, and I can afford to give those three to a full party. Then I see how much const I have left and give the strongest tank an extra buff or two. Strength to increase his damage, or maybe a double str/const buff if I can afford it.
If you are the only buffer, try to give out single buffs before giving out double buffs. Think of it this way. You can give two tanks your str/const buf and they will have +23 str/const, or, for the same price, you can give those two tanks the single str and const buffs giving them each +29 const and +36 str. Same exact cost either way, but 6 more const and 13 more str if you use the blues. People will be asking for your double buffs. They are pretty sweet and you can't blame people for wanting them, but if it keeps you from giving two blue buffs to other people in the party, you just have to tell them you are sorry. It depends on the situation. If I am in a group with a level 42 tank and a bunch of level38ish players, the tank will get my blue str, my blue const and the double str/const buffs. He is going to be taking all the damage and dishing out most of it. I want him to have the most const I can possibly give him so I don't have to rush to heal him, and I want him to have the most str possible so he dishes out a nice amount of damage.
I try to give Hunter's blow to everyone who is bapping the monsters. Its a yellow buff, but its not a double buff so it isnt more expensive than the blues. If everyone is hitting 20% faster, the monsters should be dying 20% faster and we get exp 20% faster.
Right now the dex buff is a low priority. According to the daoc websites, right now dex helps with defense. Next patch it is supposed to increase spellcasting speed, so I will be giving magician types my dex buff right off the bat.
I always use up all my conc. Even if I am giving people buffs they dont really get the best use of, its better than having the conc just sitting there. If more people join the party, I can always unbuff some people to give buffs to the newcomers. No sense saving conc in case a hero joins the party later, give those buffs to whoever you got now, and when the hero joins, just start debuffing.
thanks i hope this will help me and you all.
