Does this happen to anyone else?

Some nights I do a /quit and then as it's coutning down I say "Night Lions" and send private goodnights to people I've been privately chatting to, and it's all nice and civilized and polite.

Other nights I do a /quit and I'm gone! Zip! Like a penguin on a Slip & Slide! No chance for a last /hug to anyone!

What gives?

For me it depends on weather I'm out in the wild or in the capital or an inn. If i have the zzz's below my picture I'm logout right away. Otherwise I get the 20 second timer.

If you are in an area where you are "resting" you will be logged out immediately.

never log out where you arent resting. the rest bonus is too sweet to pass up (double xp). always be in a big city or an inn when you log.

Ever since I installed Cosmos WoW client crashes nearly every time when I quit.

try switchin the version, i had the beta, then updated to the alpha, that seemed to clear up the crashing grundy. (or maybe it was the other way alpha to the beta...) eitherway I havnt been having the crashing on logout problem very much lately (when ive had a chance to play)

Grundy, if you Alt+F4 it won't "crash" per se, it will just close out to desktop

Yes and no. There was a few times when I just logged out where I was because the extra xp from rest bonus wouldn't be as much as the potential xp I would lose by having to hoof it back out where I was. This is usually only the case when I am in the middle of an annoying collection quest in hte middle of the plaguelands ;)
