What talents did you decide to pick for PvE and does that differ from how you plan to spec your talents at 60, if so how.

I started Disc but found that with the lack of grouping I needed to respec Shadow so I could xp at a reasonable rate. I think I might go back into a mix of Disc and Shadow when I get lvl 60. Holy just does not seem to offer a lot of the nice tools that both Disc and Shadow do.

Go 100% Shadow until you hit lvl 60. That'll allow you to be effective solo, and kick the shit out of the enema rogues who try to gank you.

I haven't given much serious thought as to how I'll spec at 60. I figure by the time I get there I'll have an idea.

I have stated this in a couple previous posts, but my talents currently all go into improved healing, stamina buff, etc - some dicipline some holy. Until I reach about level 50.
Right now, my role is group healer. I do alright solo PvE, but mostly I'm grouped up and as a priest you have the most powerful heals in game.

Once I hit 50+ I'll be respecing shadow. My heals will still be the best in game, but by then I expect Battlegrounds to just about (maybe) be in play and will be consiously doing more PvP.

If I were guaranteed a group every night I logged in, I'd probably put some into healing. But as it is, shadow 100% rocks.

agreed. i respecced to a shadow / disc build cuz i do group alot and the add to shield and pwf are desired.

i plan to respec to holy/disc somewhere in the mid 50's when its time to farm strat, scholo, brs, and brd for phat lewt.

after that it will prolly be back to shadow disc for pvp.

I did it a bit differently. For greater options in game, I dumped everything into discipline until I had access to two sweet end-tree talents - the wisdom buff and the talent that gives you a free spell cast. I can't count how many times I've used the free spell to cast a desperate group heal that helps keep us all alive. Overall, I like the mana-management that the discipline tree offers. Now I am concentrating the rest of my talents on the heal portion of the holy tree.

He does :)

I love playing the priest it just gets harder and harder to solo. I now feel like my mage but without conjure water :)

Yeah, since I've joined the Lions, I've had no shortage of quality people to group with:)

But I still solo a lot of the non-elite quests. Generally, I feel confident tackling mobs that are up to two levels higher than I am. Any more than that, I find my spells don't catch. It does go slow though if I go after the higher level mobs. To make things easier, I solo grinded a couple of levels in STV and the Hinterlands. NL, it is almost time to take you to SM to get your cloth and staff upgrades. That should help some:)

Who the hell would group with Abe?

I'm all shadow right now too. I bet 97% of my exp has been solo and shadow really helps that. The few elite instance runs I've done have not been a problem. We're still potent healers and I have not gotten any complaints. Except that one time when I kept healing the wrong guy and wondering why he still died;) I got the usual, wtf, why didn't you heal me. Me: "Uhh, I was healing your buddy instead...." My group skillzzzz are definitely weaker since I solo so much. I'm kind of concerned about healing in high level pvp groups too. The cast times are wayyyy to slow for pvp in my opinion. Need a decent instant single and group cast spell.

healing for me has been not too hard. if people die in my group, about 80% of the time its me for grabbing agro off a mob or two that hasnt been tapped. thats not a huge deal cuz its usually the last guy and if im healing then.. i got full health guys to avenge me. :D

our cap, dom group uses vent, and we rarely loose anyone at all. comms help so dang much. makes my life easy.

as far as healing in chaotic situations. i find myself using shild/renew alot to keep multiple peeps going. i know that the greater heal is better. but the long cast and resulting interrupt on contact is too inconvient for rushed situations.

i used silence for the first time on a pally last night right before he would have tried godshield. its nice to kill one quick for once.

Thanks for the offer abe :) Axester already ran me though SM to get the staff a few nights back... Now I just need 34 to wield it :)

I would like to get a nice group of 35+ lions together soon to tackle SM just cause I really want the helm that drops along with that necklace :)

main hand mace. good for healing and bOnking. i get some ok crits with when i can melee a little.

my newest goal for my preist is the charstone dirk in combo with the prophetic cane.

that +11 intel on dagger with mana regen. and +12 intel off hand.

i also go jaina's firestarter the other day out on the beach in SoS so i have that +6 intel for my wand / dagger combo melee thingy. woot.

I'm going Holy/Disp till higher levels. I'm getting groups rather easily and as a group healer those heals are key especially if they crit.
