im intrigued at how the BG will work with dinky guilds like, say, mine. will the BG be dominated by large guilds that join / work together or will there be enough spots and jobs to accomidate guilds / groups of all sizes? as a priest im not too worried about a job, just kind of pondering possiblities. any thoughts?

id expect raid groups to form for specific actions, with guild and single group roles - I doubt youll have much trouble finding something to contribute.
I would say that the side that that does join / work together will be getting smashed by the side that does...

okay THAT is so 5 years ago
Man, that battlegrounds description looks freakin awesome. There is soooooo much more to do than in doac battlegrounds, or even in daoc frontiers! It's not just "attack enemy forts, get relics," there are tons of other objectives. You can form up a big group and raid that cave thingy for ublar loot. If you aren't high level enough to kill bad guys in the main battle, you can do side questy things to get items so your team can make ublar weapons and stuff. You can try to collect blood or whatever to make a boss monster to fight for your side. If a battle is going badly, you can form up a raid group on a key cemetary to make it harder for your enemies to get back to battle, or at least divert attention from the main fight.
I will try not to get too excited. A lot of times things sound better when I first read about them then they turn out to be.

im with ya boom, my main concern is that ill need to be level 55 to play around in the battlegrounds, which I understnad the reasons for dont like much at all... getting to 55 will take me a month, and im moving in the middle of Feb so my game time over the next couple of weeks is going to be limited...

boom has a chubby!
Oh, I didn't see the part about needing to be 55. That does kinda suck. Maybe they can make lowbie battlegrounds like daoc has? Someone tell them to do that.
Grundy, I always have a chubby when you are around!

doesnt give a level, but the talk about at first only allowing access to the highest levels, 55 was just my guess, could be 50+
I expect that there will eventually be several battlegrounds ranging across the levels once they get this one working and the bugs worked out they should be able to set up a bunch...
