Anyone ever notice that the Blizzard Class forums are full of almost nothing but whiners complaining that this ability is strong, or they have been nerfed, or blizzard needs to this for them, that for them etc... Its exhausting trying to find real information there.

Well I found a post from a lvl 60 Warlock who addresses most of the bitching points raised by Warlocks (with the exception of the "Infernal Issue") and he also helps define what a warlock can and can't do for all of those who wonder what is in store for a higher level warlock. The post is a bit arrogant but still informative and reasonable from my experiences as I approach 40.

For all of you fear haters... His sig line states..

Warlocks are the supreme PvE class and a formidable PvP class. If a warlock cannot solo it, it cannot be soloed.

Soloing? I think my first breakthrough was right around 40 when i realized that i could kill 2-4 things at once, solo. I dont think my average xp per hour dropped below 20k since, and once i hit 58 i was at 35k+ per hour. I have my farm places where i can blast through 5-7 lvl 59-60 elites in less than 5 mins. I saw another warlock (lvl 60) on my server come through while i was 58 at this spot, she had a priest with her and by the time one dropped i had cleared the 5 around them. When i was 57 i saw another warlock in winterspring at the furbolg camp camping 1/2 of the 2nd lvl of the village. While he killed those 5 mobs, i cleared bottom to top clearing the entire camp in the time it took him to voidwalker tank then drink his mana back. He was 59.

Grouping? In a group for high lvl instances, whoever thinks that warlocks are just healthstone/soulstone vendors is an idiot. In high lvl instances i usually run 200+ dps while using my succu$%&% to seduce, and banishing. BRS for instance.... 5 mob pulls, warlock negates 2 of those with seduce/banish, corrupt, and CoR the other 3, then life drain/immolate the one thats being tanked. Not only do you get dps for all 3 mobs, you have nightfall proc at least once per mob. So now that you have your 200dps, all the mobs are dead... you dont even need to drink more often than not, succubus has an insane mana regen rate and will regen almost as fast as you can drink. The only time i ever drink and have both pet mana and my mana full is when im about to AE or before a boss or a potentially really nasty pull.

PvP? Paladins give me the hardest time, havent gone toe to toe with another warlock, though i think it would be pretty funny. Always have succubus out, always. Paladins arent immune to seduce. 1v1 paladins are the only ones that i struggle with.

Rogues are funny, i get killed by them alot, but mainly because all they do is kill you when they think they can 1 shot you while fighting a mob. Otherwise they get seduced/feared and dotted.

Casters? hah Curse of Tongues owns casters, mages are dead, druids dead, priests more often will run if you get even 1 fear off. Undead warlocks > any other. Will of the Forsaken.

The key to pvp is in the succu$%&%.....

Soulshards? Quit whining really, im sick of hearing it. There is no reason for you not to have 2 bags in your bank full of soulshards for when you go PvP. Its not so damn hard to keep shards in stock, i ALWAYS come out of an instance with more shards than i came in with. When you go on PvP raids is it the zerg pickup kind where a buncha newbs go get killed by the guards of XXX town? If its not then you have had advance warning and a set raid time, what do warlocks need empty slots in thier bags for? I have 1 bag of gear which is a luxury and can be swapped if i wanted, and 1 bag of pots/food/drink. Now i still only have 14 slot bags and i really dont use 44 soul shards during a pvp raid hell i dont use 28. You can get soul shards from mobs alot lower than you that take barely any effort to kill and while it is an inconvienence, it is a very minor one. On PvP raids, I just tab + corrupt/CoA everyone that i can, on a pvp raid our DPS is only matched by mages untill they run oom and die while drinking.

Raid 10 debuff limit? Yeah they should fix that, maybe not the limit but at least our spells so they dont get bumped off. Im not really sure how relevent it is as i have yet to have an encounter with a mob that really effected the win/loss.

Lets also not forget the CoR/Fear bug with ranged mobs, if nobody has engaged a ranged mob with melee and it agros you, CoR/Fear it and it will just stand there not doing anything. Give it a try.

I want to slap every warlock above 40 that i see with a voidwalker.

Warlock is THE class to push your limits. Every mob has a diff strategy, every camp has a diff strategy, every instance a diff tactic. Warlocks have more to do than any other class and are the best solo class in the game no doubt about it.

If i could add anything to the warlock class it would be an instant manaburn spell. But then again, i would completely own with that.

I think maybe 1/10 warlocks above 50 even know wtf they are doing or what thier true potential is.

Well I definitely haven't lost a PvP fight when I got the jump or we attacked at the same time. Of course only when the opponent was within a few levels of me.

I don't know if I believe the 5-7 even con elites though.

Yeah.. Thats a bit rough. I can do 2 even con elites for sure.. 3 if I use some crowd control, but i better have some healing potions or healthstone ready
