Im thinking of buying this case and ps now, rest of my parts later. Would this have plenty of flexibility? Im not concerned with price as much as I was previously. I can probably swing 1200 now. This was onsale, so thought my wife could pick this up for xmas. This is like big government spending, xmas money and puter money come from differnt stock piles ;)

No, you shouldn't buy it.
You should send me the money and I'll use it for you, so you don't have to. I'm just that kinda guy.
I'll send you my case, with the broken front USB ports (thank my kids) and all.

Sorry, heh.. I thought if I laid the sarcasm on thick enough....
Yes, that's a very nice case. Once you get over $100, it's pretty much about the looks.
Didn't mean to confuse ya!

Hey now, most of the time I don't fun around with these questions, it just seemed like a good oppurtunity to do so. Not having much repoire with Bachanus, in hindsight, it was probably a poor decision. :)

All is fine, I am not offended or otherswise. Just in a hurry and didnt catch the sarcasm. I am too noobish to know what is what yet. But I am reading reviews and some tech crap that I dont really understand. SO I will continue to ask these dumb questions until I can understand it. Its all part of the enjoyment of makeing your own stuff.
Like... Is a 500w power supply too much? If it is in excess of what would be required to run anything that I would probably put in/on puter, then perhaps I should just get 420w and save $60 roughly. It seems that buying a expensive case with the thoughts of using it again several years down the road may be premature thinking.
If I understood what I was reading last night, the BTX style cases could be the norm in 4 years. Or at least a strong market share. Smaller and cooler alternative to keep those pents cool. As chips go, It would seem to me that Athlons would continue to creep up in heat as well, so eventually they would adopt cooler case designs.
I dont know why I cant just buy stuff. I like to try to understand it first. So I am back to thinking, How much case is just right for the money :) These little cheap doololly cases with 450ps for $50 with only 2 fan mounts seem idiotic now, if i understand cooling.

500W is a bit overkill. 420 is fine.
You're right BTX is on the way in.
"These little cheap doololly cases with 450ps for $50 with only 2 fan mounts seem idiotic now, if i understand cooling."
My case cost me $39, it has a fan on the side, top, front & back, with a 300 Watt power supply. I only replaced it when it finally died, with a 350Watt, which served me well until my son's power supply died. So I ordered a nice 450Watt for me, and gave him mine.
By the way...
Pentium 4 2.8C overclocked to 3266MHz (233x4 FSB) (when it's cool, currently at 3150 due to warmer conditions; I use OEM/stock heatsink)
2x512MB PC3700 (DDR466)
nVidia GeForce6800 GT (o/c to 419/1090)
120GB 8MB 7200RPM (system)
160GB 8MB 7200RPM (data)
CD-RW 52x24x52
DVD-RW 4x
4 80mm fans
+heatsink +northbridge fans
It ran fine on 350 Watts.
To sum up: quantity of watts is overrated. Quality is important.
Cooling: At least 2 fans pulling and 2 fans pushing. Always keep it equal or one more pulling to keep positive pressure.
By the way, Pentium 4E's are the hot CPU's now. Athlon 64's run nice and cool (comparatively speaking).
