My laptop auto downloaded wWin XP SP2 and wants to install it.

My video card on laptop in unsuported when I install SP2 I can't play DAOC I just crash to desktop.Tried updateing drivers but the site says updated drivers for this card can only be received for the puter maker....and they have none. No biggie uninstall and happy as pig in shit again.

But the damn puter downloaded SP2 again when I was not looking and I am getting a damn pop like every 15 min to tell me its ready for install. Is there anyway to not install it and stop getting the pop up???

Any help and or advice would be appreciated.

Thanx guys(and gals)

You can uninstall it in Add/Remove programs.

Download the attachment. Save it to your desktop, rename it to .vbs (instead of txt)

Then run

cscript %userprofile%\desktop\stopxp2.vbs /b

That will stop XP2 from autodownloading.

I only entered the code above to allow others (that know script) what .vbs code I'm telling you to run.

You just need to follow the instructions I gave :)
