No no m0, there is a Balyon - and likely doesn't have the scruples Babs does.

you know I had even read that thread, and hadn't see the Baylon mention.
And, since I knew we get confused often enough, I likely skimmed over it without second thought.... but I was looking to see if anyone thought I was a griefer. :)
Not that I have been back lately.... I have this horrible choice between purple RvR in Emain, Mob Death in Albion, Grey/Green in Midgard, or levelling. Sometimes levelling solo.
Fun fun fun.

With those green/gray's -
ever feel like a lion pouncing on a herd of antelope?
The rest just scatter in fear and you hope you take one down. :D
As for solo --- blah, any time we're on you're welcome to come with us (no more quest runs it seems, not until 40th anyway).

ok I'm confused. I thought you didn't lose experience on the frontier. What is "XP killing newbs?"

If you're fighting a creature and it hits you, you're going to lose exp if you die.
If you're almost dead by fighting a creature, then you get killed by a sniper, you will lose exp from the hp's you lost fighting the critter.

Well that's just mean.
I personally don't have an issue with the "grief killing" thing. My perspective, when I hit the frontiers, is that anything goes and its the risk I take. I just can't expect the enemy to play nice. Does this mean I will grief kill, probably not, but I won't cry when it happens to me like the people in that thread. If you don't like it don't hunt in the frontiers :)

I think it's lame, so I try hard to not do it.
I moan a little, maybe even gripe a shade when it happens to me, but then go on, because, yeah, its a risk you take on the frontiers.
Just adds a little insult to the injury.... but I agree, ppl on that thread take it a bit far. :)

I'm with Beav on this one.
It's the frontier, it's dangerous and there are risks involved. This is a war between realms and you should expect that you can die at any moment out there.
I wont go out of my way to grief kill someone, but I can't promise I wont fire a round at someone when I get into that situation either. :)
Well, I'm gonna let myself get sucked into the role playing aspect of this to give my opinion.
I think mids should go out of their way to do it (exp killing). They are icky smelly trolly yucky dirty creatures and they should fight that way. They are the "darker realm" and should fight dirty with no honor.
I think albs should never ever do it no matter what. They are knights of the round table and they even have that cool armor that makes them look like real knights from the storybooks. They are supposed to have all sorts of codes of honor. Even when fighting Trolls and icky dwarves and nasty Mid thingies they should be bound to their codes of honor.
I think Hibs should do it to Mids, but not to Albs. We are like these earthy hippy dudes. We are at war because we fear for the safety of our realm. Mids are disgusting creatures and must be wiped out for the good of everyone. Albs are our sworn enemies and yes it is a fight to the death. But we are an honorable realm and we should fight that way. Its just that the mids are not deserving of any honorable treatment (unless you are a goody good alb that always fights by the same codes of honor).
Ok getting into the role playing can be a little fun. :D
But in reality... I don't think I would ever exp kill anyone, even a mid. It just feels wrong. But its sorta a good strategy. Taking exp from the enemy is really really good for our realm. If we slow down their leveling it makes life a lot easier for us in RvR. But just because its a logically advantageous strategy doesn't mean I really think we should do it. Dropping 100 hydrogen bombs on the talibans would be an effective strategy too. But it sorta wouldn't feel right.
