Copenhagen is stating that they (Albion) took it back last night? Is this correct?

Oh well it was fun, but I'm hitting the mines from here on out since the new patch is going to reduce the drop percentage.

They took it while all you good christian people were at church. And this bad jewish person was napping. Sunday morning raids? Omg those other realms are evil.

Well, we got revenge took one of their keeps :D I had to log off to play UT, but we had tons of people in albolognia running around.

And then it was 5. That's right, at one point tonight we had 5 Alb keeps. I couldn't go to sleep till we got crunchy back though. Gork, Kilolas, Malk, Alli and myself were all there for it. It was tough, because the group was way to small to take a keep. Maybe 30ish people instead of the 100ish that went to Alb earlier today. We broke down both doors, lots of us died in the process and the guards and albs inside finished us off (the mids attacking our backs didn't help our situation either). We released, recollected ourselves and went back to finish the job. Crunchy is once again ours.

The Albs are in the process of retaking the keeps we took from them. I guess we could have defended them instead of taking Crunchy, but retaking OUR keep is way more important to me than defending their keep. Besides, we can't defend all 5 and whichever one we defend, they would just let us have (for now) and retake the others. By the time I logged off, they had retaken 3 of the 5. So as of now, we have all of our keeps, and 2 of theirs, and we all gained a LOT of rvr experience. When we go for the relic keep, its going to come in handy.

I am going to read up on siege weapons and stuff. Crunchy's door is now upgraded to level 2, it can potentially be upgraded to level 9. Someone in fae should know how to do that. Also, not enough people in Hibernia seem to know how to build catapults and battering rams, and even less people seem to know how to use them. I'm going to comb the daoc websites tomorrow and see what I can find out. I may give up on armor crafting and pursue this instead. :)

I'll see if any of the pictures I took came out tomorrow. I was trying to get a shot to show yall the size of the force we brought to alb to take that first keep. But I just couldn't get everyone on the screen! It was really incredible.

All the forums talk about the disadvantages Hibs have. Our realm was made last and mystic hasn't spent as much time on it. Our dungeons haven't been itemized as long so our upper level characters don't have l337 equipment. The other realms have better this, that, and the other thing. And we lost a lot of upper level hibs because they got frustrated with how hard it is to be a hib and left. So we supposedly have a handfull of players at level 45 and over, while alb and mid have bunches of high level players.

Well, being the underdog makes days like this just so much sweeter. I don't think any realm on any server has every had a day like this. 5 enemy keeps, and retaking one of our own. We really shook things up!

Actually they can be upgraded to 8.

It takes Woodworking skills to do it, and any wood can be used (they offer differant "units" for the cost tho, the most cost effective wood is Rowan... yes, the cheapest is the best)

It is cheaper on cost to upgrade from 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4...., etc then it is to go straight from 1 to x.

It takes 440 units (at 1 unit per Rowan board thats 440 boards) to go from 1 to 2. 2 to 3 takes 960. 3 to 4 takes like, 2400. 4 to 5 takes like, 4480. With Rowan, that's 4480 boards, or slightly more then you can even carry. What you have to do is hold all you can, have someone else hold what's left.... when you get ready to do it, drop some of yours to make room for the ones you want transfered, transfer them over, upgrade the door before the ones on the ground disappear (I think you have about 5 minutes).

I know how to run a ram and catapult, and have battle experiance doing both. I have built a ram, and have the parts, currently, IN THE BANK, to build a Ballista. I have plans on how to go about building this, and if anyone ever wants to give it a whack, let me know. It will take a group of about 8, I believe, with some of the buffs and firbolgs we have around, we might be able to do it in like, 6 folk.

Yeah, we have lost a LOT of high level folk, and we do have less then the other realms... but we have plenty of "mid-level characters" that are more then willing to go out and mix it up - as you have seen.

Yes, other realms have had experiances like ours... but still, it is sweet. I know of one server where Albion made a concerted effort to take Midgard's keeps. They took all 7 in 5 hours, and died making the push on the Relic fort because the Trolls got in to defend it. They were a force of hundreds, I think 150-300 or so.

After the failed relic run, they quit for bed (it was late) In 2 hours a group of 40 Trolls retook every lost Midgard fort.

How 'bout dem apples?

My god how much fun was that last night!?!?!?!?!?!

And... I GOT MY FIRST REALM POINTS LAST NIGHT!! Okay so it was only 3 but I am still happy. :) So can I get rid of my supplicant rank now?

I've got quite a few screen captures from the event (around 50) and will post a good one of all of us getting nuked later.

That was a blast last night! Sitting in that fort on albs side with Boomy and Arboc just helping ripping apart an attacking force that was three time our size was awsome. Tried out a new tactic last night with Boomy in the group and it seemed to work really well. Plus with Arboc AE'ing the albs at the door along with the rest those albs just couldn't take the door down. We held it off long enough so that the guards they killed before respawned and wiped em out. :cheese: Wish I could have stuck around for the rest of the night to help out but sadly enough I had work today and needed to get to bed.

I just thought I would share the tactic Job came up with. :D

We were inside the keep getting assaulted. I got as close to the keep door as possible (I was standing there using F8 to target and poisoning bad guys as they beat at our gate). I targeted Jobius using my minipartywindow and he talked to the little tree to go outside. He was still well within my heal/rez range. He start fighting the bad guys who were NOT expecting a hib to start kicking them in the tush as they were beating the door. He gets off some of his mezzes and concussive things, and as the baddies realize he is there and start hitting him, I start healing. When I was low on power I hit my oop bind and Job talked to the tree and came back inside. It was a zero risk situation, because if he died, I could have rezed him and he would have rezed back inside the keep (I think). I would love to try this out with a hero or an eld. I really hope albs and mids don't catch on and start doing this to us. :D

Yeap Boomy I owuld have been back inside off of the rez because i would have apeared at your feet. That's why I thought aobut going outside. You could heal and rez me if i dropped and I'd be back inside. Not sure if a fighter would work casue to stay in range of our mezz I could only use my distance spells to hit them since they were back away from the door. However get someone with more range then I have and we could ahve a party. :cheese:
