Interesting bit about Johnny Depp's pirate role...

Apparently he modelled his role in the Pirates of the Carribean after Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones.

Once I heard that it made perfect sense to me, all his mannerisms etc.

Johnny explained that he sees pirates as having been like the rock stars of the 1800's, and that Keith Richards was always his favourite rock star, so there you go.

Now, the interesting bit is that there's a sequel coming out. And after much lobbying by Johnny, Keith Richards has signed on to act in this sequel and will play the part of his Dad.

Watching these two conversing will be worth the price of the popcorn alone.

Johnny Depp is an actor that deserves ALOT more credit for his work. He is always convincing in his roles, no matter what they are.

I love him in Pirates of the Carribean. He really made you love Captain Jack Sparrow. :P

Haha! If that's not true, Morety, I believe it anyway. When Grundy and I saw that movie, we both looked at each other and said, "Keith Richards?" Haha! It was an interesting choice, but it played well.

As an aside, I've been a Johnny Depp fan since 21 Jump Street. I heart Johnny Depp. /swoon
