When you say preachy does that mean it comes with a message? I hate movies that have a message attached to them. Like down with the white man, or guns are bad.

In my mind preachy implies that it's telling you to do something and I really didn't see that.

Don't get me wrong. I found it brilliant at times. The writing was poetic and majestic and lovingly portrayed. But, after six hours, I couldn't distinguish one character from the other. All I could hear was one voice: the author's, as he stood behind a pulpit, poetically preaching his singular political and social commentary in a flurry of pretentious intellectualism.

I think I would have adored the play, but for my tastes, this series was too much for too long. It's like eating ice cream. It's yummy and sweet and creamy and delicious. And I'd absolutely love a couple of scoops right now. But I don't want to eat ice cream for the next six hours. I'd be sick to death of it by then. And that's how I felt about this series.

But, that's just my opinion. A lot of people thought it was absolutely brilliant.

Holy christ 6 hours. This is a movie? I get pissed when a movie exceeds 2 hours and I think 99% of themovies should be shortened down to about 30-45 minutes.

It's an HBO mini-series in two parts. Each part is about 3 hours long.

No im serioues, im out by like 9:30 most the time. Gotta wake up early, and I need my 8 hours atleast. Need to function properly at work. I don't know how you people stay up late playing mmorpg's then go to work the next day. That shit isn't healthy.
