Hello everyone, for those of you that do not read the VN boards I am new to your server and have formed a guild here called Ka Tet, which consists of all ex albions that have moved to this server. I personally come from Iseult where I lead a guild, as well my DAOC experience remains mainly in Albion with 8 lvl 50 charachters, 2 ml9, and 2 rr6 or higher. So far myself and everyone in the guild is very pleased to be here as we have already encountered many remarkable people.

I have been told that this is the place to goto to see the bulk of the raids in Hibernia, is this true?

As well would you accept another raid leader to your group of planners?

Thank you for your responses!

Welcome! I suppose I can claim to be a raid leader, having lead 3 with major help from Aglon (our main leader now that Hosen is gone), and give a steadfast, YES! We really are in need of some good dedicated leaders, and I'm sure I can speak for the entire server when I say that any new Hib Pellinorian is very welcome, especially an experienced guild! Check out the Event Scheduling forum (just below this) and the calendar to see what kinds of stuff we have going on (which isn't much right now).

Well heres how we did it back where I came from:

Ml raids - Once a week atleast, possibly even 2 times a week, first week ml1, second week ml2 and so on. This seemed like a nice pace, noone really got burnt out and its not bad to only have to spend a few hours a week running around enjoyin the fun of the ml trials :bang:

Ah, but theyre not so bad. How is it with gettin people to help? For example are there certain people I need to suck up to get a good showing, where do I need to go to make sure everyone knows about the raids and will people actually come if when we start gettin to 40+, in about 2 weeks?

As long as we can get the people to show, I wont mind helpin to run, just dont want to step on anyone's toes here.

Iam more a lead-raider, but welcome to our server.

Another raid leader is definitly welcome too. we run out of them too quickly.

I have a NS that needs ML5+, an animist that need ML2,3 and 5+ and my champ that needs 9.10 and ML10.

beside my vacation next week I will try to be on all raids I can, that will be mostly only early weekend raids (start 6 am EST to 4 PM EST, cause I live in CET).

if you accounce the raids here in the raid section of the forum and have your raid shedule made public over the alliance channels at least 3-4 days in advance you should have a decent turnout.

I have led a couple of ML1 raids and an accidental (successful though) ML8 raid. The one thing you may encounter that is differnet is that due to the smaller population on the Hib side of the server sometimes the numbers just arent' there. It is not so much that people won't come its just that we have a smaller pool to pull from. Many of us come to help though - even if we already have the ML's - it is a very helpful server, IMHO. Welcome to you and your guild :D

Hey i got a question for everyone.

If anyones played an alb you would know that Avalon City is where you go to get xp at higher lvls, the dungeoun is chock full of 47-65 lvl mobs and lots of camps.
Is there somewhere in hib like that? We'll prolly be hittin there by the end of this week.

Closest thing is the (in)famous fin tree in cursed forest.

I think the hib version of Avalon City is Fomor or Tur Suil. Its rare to find more than one group at those places though

Welcome to the server. Raid leaders are always welcome. We get bogged down by the side stuff for raids. But I guess that is a different issue. As far as I know there have been 2 successful attempts at ML10 here. My knowledge on NEED of MLs and where peeps stand.....

ML1- Always alts that need. Never run out of peeps wanting this one
ML2- Same as ML1
ML3- Was ran twice recently. Second one with less peeps and got wiped on Medussa. I would imagine 20 peeps there did not get.
ML4- Run 2 weekends ago. tough to get the required numbers for 4.2. Would need plenty of warning
ML5- Last couple tries wiped on step 10. Again a numbers issue. Maybe with ML3 and ML4 being done recenlty there are more that need now. I have a toon that would have to do all steps. THe group part would be a hang up.
ML6- Last couple tries again wiped on step 9 and or 10. SAme as ML5.
ML7- Hasn't been done in awhile. Acouple group step raids were lead by Loraine recently. ML3 being done Friday there are new toons that need though.
ML8- I do not recall the last time this was done. Pre-NF my best guess. Being out in the open and no pre-req should get a decent response. Big hurdle? I don't have ML5 done why should I do ML8?
ML9- Some spam on wanting to do this recently. Personally would like to see ML8 done first. But that is because I have an ML7 ready for it.
ML10- Get ML9 done and ML10 would be a hot topic. Finding portal a hurdle but workable.

Personally I have a ML4, ML5, ML7 so would be looking at the higher raids for those. My ML5 is ready for BG steps on 6 and 7. A suggestion on ML raids. Some go by the harder arties to get. Possibly working some of them in might get you more of a turnout for that. Just lotto the arty afterward. Aglon pulls this off well.

LvLing spots. WEll there are some good ones. Coruscating Mines is pretty good but is camped. Located by parth farm in East Lough Derg. The Fins in CF is a popular spot but can be camped as well. Epic zone is sherroe hills. If you leave Innis and head straight out west I believe the zone is to your left. Warshades once were uber when Focus shield was not nerfed. Not camped often. SI Dungeons are a good spot and not camped much so you will get a nice camp bonus. The Fomors out side of the TS dungeon are also nice XP but you have to roam. At LVL 48 the quests in SI are nice for the drop jewelry items and the XP. I did Lost seed with my Druid when she was lvl 49 and got a bub xp for the first run.

Again welcome to HIbernia Pellinor and hope you have fun here.

Oh and Anyone that leads a raid I commend them for their efforts. It is a god forsaken job that I would lose hair doing it. Did ML1 during the day once with help from Vercinie a guildie of mine. It was painstakingly slow. Partly my fault. I get frustrated quickly on why peeps do not prepare fot them. Or why peeps think that instructions are not for them but for someone else.

Tur Suil is hibs version of Avalon City. Its not as good as Avalon City, but with a decent balanced group it has great xp if u don't go to deep and pull bosses. Necropolis is good if u get ml1 done, some decent areas in frontier, cursed forest, fomor if u dont tackle the guy in the middle of the stone ring, coruscating mines, DF when we have it (not often) etc.

Welcome to Pellinor :)

There's a calendar on this site you can use to put your event up. It would be a good idea to have someone in the RS alliance who'll advertise the raid on our /as about an hour in advance as well.

Are you guys all set up okay? Need anything?

crendalerst

maybe the Shadows of Domnann alliance? Generally anything that comes across our alliance is communicated pretty quickly throughout the realm though, as most people have at least one toon that are in one of our guilds..

i think I have a north key lying around somewhere.. Think that's the only one you need now.. the solo step door is no longer locked..

If you have a defiante date, etc etc, SL is pretty good (I fell behind <sob> Eseave's picking up my slack I think) about posting stuff cross-alliance wise. And I normally cross-post also to GotN /as, so between that, and don't forget Order of the Cross, I think you'll get a good turnout, or help w/ scrolls, etc...
As mentioned above, peopel're pretty good at spreading the word :)
