My brother in law likes RPG games, but he wants one where you are alone,no parties,or having to control 4,5,or 6 different characters. He wants a decent storyline, and good graphics. Is there one like this available?
I had mentioned Might and Magic, but that's the only RPG i really ever played. He had Baldurs Gate, but did not like the idea of having to control an entire party of peeps. He has time constraints (as we all do) so he does not want to spent countless hours trying to learn how to cast a spell.Something fairly easy and straight forward.

Papa Bangin's Nali Circle Jerkin Quest for Hot Carl's or PBNCJQfHC for short.
It is THE best RPG out there and is based on the new unreal engine, so you know the graphics are fantabulous!

It's old, but Thief & Thief II are the only non-party "RPG's" out. Typically, by definition, an RPG always uses a party - just the nature of the game.
They're really first person "sneakers" rather than an RPG - but it's really fun.

Hey all,
Right on Rooster!
I really enjoyed Thief, but all that sneaking arround scared the duck poo out of me!
It's a great game if you like the tension, water arrows for the torches, running from shadow to shadow.
There's a good visibility guage at the bottom of the screen.
The graphics were fine, the castles were cool, the weapons interesting, and AI was good too!
There is/was a community of people playing and designing levels and I think there may be a multiplayer online mod.

Not sure if your post is in response or not... but..
Thief (I or II) is not on-line.
As for Zelda type... well... honestly.. PC's have advanced far beyond that. Zelda was that due to limited capabilities of the system it wason.
I'm not aware of any "RPG"s that fit that description.
The closest you'll get to "small party" RPG that totally rocks is Fallout and Fallout 2.

There was the Elder Scrolls "Daggerfall" That was sweet. The new Elder Scrolls III is supossed to be releaseing soon and looks to outdo itself in the series again.

Wizardry 8 is fun and you can take a solo character out.
