While most Rangers are out there using the Fool's Bow in RvR, after I got mine to level 10, I've been using the Duskwood Immolated.

Last night I hit several alb casters for over 1100 damage, one shotting them. :) (two shot if they had the bubble up)

I even dropped Smackdaddy in two hits after someone else popped his bubble, both were over 850 each. :)

I expect albs to start crying soon.

Slowest bow in the game, it hits sooo hard. I think its 5.8 speed, right? (been a few weeks since I've daoced).

Its not even masterpiece and its the hardest hitting in the game. I think there is a MP 5.6 bow that drops somewhere on ML9, called Falcons Talon or something, but the immolated hits harder.

You do know Scouts get these from crafting right? So they can all run around with MP 5.8 spd bows.

Yes, and some scouts whine becasue we get a bow that is close to theirs, I have yet to hit like they do with the Immolated Bow.

My level 48 ranger with ROG gear and the immolated bow was able to crit 1004 and 948. Most of the time it doesn't reach that high but dang that's nice for a level 48 toon to do.

I'm not sure if quickness factor into crit damage. Right now my ranger isn't capped in quickness and I'm wondering if that helps with frontload for bow. Also get +25 dex cap. Helps a ton. You can get dex cap from blackened wrap (fire island mob drop), artifact bows, shaitan wrap (ML7 shaitan faction mob), belt of malamis (malice Axe encounter), TOA quest belt, and a stealther cloak from mad scalar mob. There are others but those are the ones I'm looking at to raise dex/bow damage.

Iam talking about my melee damage in comparison. quickness doesnt affect the cap damage. cap damage is purely based on weapon SPD and as I said lies between 600 and 700 for a LW Champ. so without a full 50% crit there is no way to get close to 1000 damage.

there are no 5.8 SPD LWs. if Iam talking about cap damage it doesnt matter on what kind of target it is. take a gray con mob if you want.

5.5 is the slowest LW I have, spears are 5.6, but there is one 5.7 spear out there. Albion gets 6.0 speed Two-Handed sword from Apoc.

If you don't want to camp fire island there are a couple close replacements for the Immolated bow. Braggart's is a 5.4 spd. The ML9 bow duskwood Falcon's is a 5.5, and the one that drops off of Itet is another good bow. I personally still use Fool's bow, then again I haven't really played Eat much in the last couple months.

I think the Scout Shield Slam is total Bullshit... we're Archer Class.. NOT HERO's... why do they have the same Styles as Heros???

Not to mention Engage on scouts is total bull. There's no way an archer should be able to block arrows as effectively as they do.
