I can't get a solid connection onto my webspace(s). While it recognizes my name/password, it won't let me connect.

My wife uses Citrix to get onto her work computer. She may have set something on Windows XP for a privacy/security during connections which may have screwed up my access to my webspace.

Any suggestions as to settings that may have changed on WinXP?

Personal Firewall would be my first guess (Network Properties under the firewall tab).

Then ZoneAlarm (or some kind of 3rd party firewall)

Make sure you are not tring to connect as PASV if the ftp server requires PORT.

Best FTP Client I have found to date is CuteFTP http://www.cuteftp.com. I would give this client a shot. It makes connecting to POS servers easier.

try the old fashioned way

Start -> Run -> CMD

ftp ftp.yourdomain.com (ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com)

It should prompt for username & password

Since you have broadband right?, then you won't have anytype of connection security settings for accessing that connection like that of a dial-up/vpn setup so there really aren't any setting that might screw with ftp.

Citrix shouldn't have changed anything since it negotiates security during connection, and shouldn't interfere with your local area connection. However there may be issues of trying to ftp while the Citrix client is connected since I don't believe it uses it's own connector and uses your local area one to hookup to the other network. Citrix most often uses some sort of encryption/secure transfer which might interfere with your ftp'ing.

What kind of firewall do you use? (if any)

I was just thinking...

She may have to VPN into work, then use the Citrix client.

Often, once the VPN link is up, getting out to the internet can be tricky.

Well, using Noleader's link and prog got me onto my main webspace. Still couldn't get onto my other four sites though.

Drives me nuts.

Maybe with the site I got on it's because I deleted it then re-activated it. Lost everything on it though. I'd like to see what's on all my other sites before I just delete them :/ and try the reactivate route to see if that works...

Well, for some reason the webspace was dead.

When I deleted it, then reactivated it, everything works again. I just lost everything that I'd uploaded on the sites though, including my UT Weapon tunes :(

Thanks for helping everyone :)

I'm sure your UT weapon tunes are out there somewhere.
