Less than half the country thinks he's doing a good job... does it matter if he's leading?

I'm a registered Republican... I'm very moderate because I believe in a woman's right to choose... but overall.. I believe in a smaller Federal Government... and a taxation system where those that make more money pay a higher percentage of taxes... but not to a degree that they are pentalized for making more money...
I listen to John Kerry and his grand statements that he'll keep American Jobs in America... he's trying to get a reaction... America is part of a Global Economy... you can't compete in the Global Economy if you pay John Smith $32/hour for a job that will be done in Mexico for $5/hour... and I find it humorous that John Kerry is gonna create 10 million new jobs... ahhh.. there are currently only about 6 million unemployed in America... does this mean under John Kerry.. 4 million of us are gonna need a 2nd job... :O

Yes, to pay the tax hikes he's going to do.

6 million unemployed in America
5% of 300 million is not 6 million, its 15 million. Unemployment is well above the 2% that your statistic would promote. It's above 6% here in Ohio.

300 Million is the population of the U.S.A., which counts the elderly and kids who do not work. So you cannot take 5% of 300 million.

Check this sight.... it show's there are currently 8,164,000 people unemployed.. of this figure.. only 4,744,000 wish to work...

So YOUR facts of 15 million are indeed WRONG!!
So I split the differenct... and said 6...

Here we go, here's the stats:
Total employment was 138.6 million in April
number of unemployed persons, 8.2 million
Taken from here; http://stats.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm

Correct... but of the 8.2 million that are unemployed.. if you look further down.. only 4.7 million wish to find a job... thus.. I said 6 million... either way... 8.2 million is STILL less than 10 million...

It is ideal to have more jobs than workers, it allows us to get more competive wages and allows for better career growth. My salary has stayed flat for the past 3 years, and it isn't because I'm not improving my skills, its because there are too many IT people and we can no longer barter our pay cause there's always someone out there that will do it for less.
