I wish they'd stop calling it a communist government... I don't see it as him trying to gather cuban votes though, actually I really don't know what his motives are here.

Both. One goal serves the other. I have no idea whether the policy change will work though. I think Castro will be pushing up daisies before you see any real change.

Actually we owned Cuba at one point. History class in middle school should have taught that.

We kicked spain out of Cuba during the Spannish-American war. Than we turned it over to the mafia to run.

This is counter-productive. We need to work with Cuba before the next country/people that hate us do. The cold war is over and we won. *Cheer*
