Did anyone hear this guy when he gave the Democratic response to Bush's radio address? I didn't catch it, but I saw him on CNN tonight. He seems quite an impressive fellow. I wouldn't be surprised to see more of him in the future.

I was really impressed with how well spoken and straight forward he is. One thing he said really got me. He was asked something about whether he'd go back to Iraq if called, or something like that. And he responded (paraphrasing here), "If called, I'll shut my mouth, grab my rifle and head back to the lines."

What he said before the editors doctored the tape was "If called, I'll shut my mouth, grab my rifle and cross the Canadian border by force"

If he's currently in, he has to be very careful what he says (Canidae is right about the not speaking out against the Commander-in-Chief).

I think his line is perfectly fine.
