No, she didn't testify under oath, and there was no transcript allowed of the statements she made. Also, I'm pretty sure her appearance at that session wasn't made before all of the members of the commission.

The biggest thing, I think, is that everyone wants to avoid the implication that she has something to hide by not appearing in public.

Personally, I have a lot of faith in the members of the commission. There are some good people there. So, I didn't really care if she met in private or in public, but I did think she should be under oath.

Yep, she did four hours with the two leaders of the commision in private, no oath. But that doesn't allow all the members of the commision to get camera time with Condi. She's the hottest thing on capitol hill;)
