How many lvl 0's do you have?

Also, check into permissions by rank. Also get anyone who has power to /gc remove to change their passwords asap.

If that's all that happened, consider yourself lucky.

na, we had added a new member who seemed OK, maybe a little needy. After a week or so the new member traded accounts and we had 2 new members. Then a GM heard one of them (not sure who myself) brag about scamming an account. Then a player from another guild contacted us about the scam, so we ditched the 2 of them.

If I can get more solid proof of what happened I can post names I guess. Or send me in game if you need to know based on what I heard.

The account Jaayy has been stolen, I removed this account from CO as the account's owner used his brothers account to inform me of the theft. Jaayy has level 50 toons on alb, diff server, so the hib toons haven't been touched much.

Has he been able to recover the account via the secret word with Mythic?

Is the Jaayy account issue in CO separate from the SA account trading incident?

I know recently in The Fianna we've restructured the way we rank people who have requested a /gc invite and who no one in the guild knows or can vouch for them. We had a couple incidents with our guild hand me down vault being completely emptied as well. The restructure of our lower level ranks and method of promotes seems to have avoided these problems. We had a couple tip offs to be wary, and at least 2-3 close brushes with people getting a guild invite and heading directly to the guild house and vaults. Has anyone else in other guilds had problems with this sort of thing over the last couple months?

It's just sad that this stuff happens.

In-game theft makes the Tuatha de Dannan cry.

We have been fortunate in LoL. All of the folks are honest enough, but also we rarely if ever invite people.

Was the first time I ever had to remove someone from guild :ack:

We had a new member, Mieko, join Seyr about 2 weeks ago, and after only a few days he had made an account trade, trading Mieko for Tyco, which is something i am totally against, but as long as it is done fairly and legit I won't complain. This trade was done legit as far as I know.

Few days after that he trades for another acount. He still has Tyco, but supposedly traded one of his "other accounts" for a ranger named Rumple(something). This one he ripped off someone. A friend of the person whose account got ripped off sent me in game telling me about the whole event. While I am getting these tells, the account theif is bragging in /gu how he ripped off the account. He was unguilded in seconds. Later that day another guildy logged on and said that the account theif had tried to rip him off as well.

So the current owner of Tyco is someone i would not reccomend trusting.

CO incidents...

The Jaayy account has not yet been recovered as a result of not being able to remember the secret word. This isn't a surprise. I am not sure what my own secret word is. I wish that had a feature, enter secret word and also indicate a reminder phrase.

On the issue of guild vaults, CO also had an occurrence of someone joining the guild and cleaning out our lowbie vault. Nothing of great value was lost, but this did result in a restructuring of access levels for guild members.

Very interesting about the new owner of Tyco. Let's not be confused between the old owner and new one (the old owner being a very nice guy).

Something odd though that happened the other night with the NEW Tyco that struck me as completely strange. I was running my group out of DL over the right hill. I think that Yogg was in my group at that time, or a few Lions, I can't remember. We top the hill and start going towards Ailinne, when we see Xylla (minstrel) behind the tree closest to DL at the top of the right hill, she's unstealthed and so my group goes to beat on her.

Tyco's group had run out maybe 2 seconds before us and were headed through the middle of the 2 hills at DL (the valley), but right and I mean RIGHT when Xylla popped, Tyco's group made a direct b-line up the hill to us, where we were surrounding this minstrel. After gettnig the message "your target is too far away to attack", Tyco's group turned around and ran off. It was way weird...there was no reason at all for him to do that...

Ok, I'd like to get this cleared up right now if I could please. . .

As alot of people know I have been through quite a few account trades in the last few months and with this last one alot of things have happened, and I'd like to clear it up right now.

I owned Tyco, I was getting bored w/ him and was thinking about switching realms or rolling a new toon or anything basically, when I was running through DL and see someone spamming WTT Chanter and Skald will hear all offers, so I send him and ask him to get on AIM. . . once there we work out a deal and make the trade.

So now I own a chanter and skald. The chanter was Mieko.

Shortly after (like 1-2 days) I'm in DL and see Bejor going off on Tyco and I was wondering what was going on and found out that the NEW owner of tyco tryed to rip off a ranger but was finally talked out of it returning the ranger to the owner minus 900g. . ..

So after this incident and Tyco realizing that he isnt welcome in his guild and most of Hibernia wont give him the time away he starts sending me trying to get Mieko back (after I had just spent ALOT of $$$ getting her SC'd and PC'd) saying that Tyco was stolen.

If it was a normal situation I would've talked to him about it, I told him to tell whoever was telling him Tyco was stolen to send me and I never got a responce, only flames saying that he was going to appeal me. I finally said fuck it and blocked him and havent heard from him, or about this, since.

Then I log on today to talk to some people on my warden. I have recently decided to cut back on daoc in an effort to quit completely, and gave away my skald and chanter account to friends. Well First thing I do is send my friend who I gave mieko to and he says that people are telling him Mieko is stolen.

I WOULD LIKE TO CLARIFY NOW.
That every account I have recieved I have done so legitly, never ripped anyone off (even had my account ripped off but SW'd it back) and wouldnt wish anyone to be ripped off in this way.

If you have any questions Concerning this please feel free to contact me :

MSN Cooflakes@Hotmail.com

or reply here and I'll check back. . .

Boy, trading accounts sure gets confusing! Anyway, we all know Cooflakes and I don't think anyone thought you would steal nothings. Just apparently you made a trade with a real pooper. I'm glad he didn't manage to screw you over in the process (other then causing all this confusion for you)

TT hasn't stolen no accounts or anything, but Justar stole mah pants.

I am the original Boom and all boomlike names (except Boomer isn't me but he is cool so I don't mind him having a boomlike name). I'm not the original Stickybuns but I do have her account and am still bugging her to come back to daoc.

Every game has that bad realm of trading accounts. Heck, even Diablo still has that problem. People logging on, changing password and looting everyting off of your characters. Every game will have that. Honestly, if anything before trading an account you should let everyone in your guild, friend list, and everyone you've been known to chill with in game know that it's going down. It sucks for us all to find out some person you've grouped with through leveling is now some stuck up, "know-it-all" and reams you for all your money and loot.

But for now, let's all go ream some RPs in major RvRage before Frontiers comes out so we all can all be ubah and WTF ppimpslap the albs and mids around.
