Crend, I have a stupid idea

What do you think about letting all sides know when and where we plan to relic raid and set something up. Like saying on the VN that Wednesday night 8pm est Hibs will attempt a relic take in alb (not mentioning which relic keep, of course). Since we hold only 1 relic, we have very little to lose from doing something like that and we'd not only ensure a good hib show up but also a good defense as well as a bunch of fun on all sides. Also that'd eliminate all the bs that happens with spies and IRC crap.

I remember when Albert declared war on midgard after they took an Alb relic, and led a siege on mid for 1 week straight. It was funny to see the mids apologize to the albs for pissing them off, on the VN. Nobody's done anything like that since.

Ooo! lets knock down the doors of every keep in alb and mid and kill no keep lords! They will have all there keeps, just no doors. That'll confuse em! Let's keep em guessing.

It'd be nifty to put every guild in charge of a diff alb keep, and have them all separately go take each keep then meet up at the RK together. That way, they'd not get 200 spam off of 1 single keep. Also having 2 really good gank crews working both entrances to the frontier killing everyone incoming...we'd tear down their frontier fast.

Sounds good to me. Since it's not private we can make it well known throughout our realm. Also, it'll give a nice chance to kick those smug albs right in the junk...or at least have some fun :)

They won't quit by a long-shot, but it'll make for a nice benchmark for how to lead relic raids if we're successful. If we fail, everyone on all sides will have at least (hopefully) had some fun.

We'll no doubt hit a ton of lvl 10 keeps with doors upgraded to their best...which means we'll probably need to bring a TON of siege with us as well as having folks cooperating.

We should seriously encourage non-50's to go out as well. It'd be amazing if we could get everyone in TOA, SI, DF, Fin tree, etc...out to join this event. We'll need every last person that shows. This most likely will end up being the event of the year, if folks put some effort into rallying their guilds :)

good idea, but unfortunately even public events will have cheaters (liquiid's radar'd death last RR).... so maybe try to get a CSR to attend and make sure it all goes down kosher.

I thought Liquiid was killed by a mob and an alb came by and picked up the relic?

liquiid was almost dead from aggro, when a minstrel and caster caught up to him, killed him, and snagged the relic. As for radar, I don't think radar was used. There were probably about 200 albs at the relic keep, it's not unrealistic to think they would have had small teams like this around combing the area trying to find the relic. I know if I were leading the defense that's what I would have done. Also the fact that my guild where's pink cloaks makes us pretty hard to miss :)

Cerno's gonna be there, so will Soc and Naziir, most likely. Also the Seis folks are on board as well (about a group of them have 50 gank type toons on Pell).
