Well I'm not much of a fan of MLs personally, but has become increasingly apparent to me that ML abilities are needed to gain the edge once again in RvR these days. I'm sure I'm not the only one that didn't jump straight into MLs and now regrets being left behind :P..
So, starting this thursday, I will be leading ML raids every thursday, starting with ML3, working the way up to ML 9. Space however will be limited to 24 people per raid, unless I feel that more numbers are required. So anyone interested in participating please let me know in game or on this forum.
I need ML2 still, after that I'm generally free on Thursday nights. I too said to hell with ML crap and have realized how far behind I am in RvR. :(

If there's enough interest I could be convinced to make this weeks raid an ML2 one, then those people that have already done it will still get ML xp toward ML 3..

doh sorry jew, if you want your whole guild to be involved in it I can change it to another night possibly, just thursday works really well for me and the rest of DD, we can discuss it though if there's enough interest on doing it on another night.
Hiya Crend. Nice to see the RvR peeps getting into toa. Try to have fun with it. There are some really sucky things about toa, sometimes you get hosed during a ML raid and miss credit for a step and it can be very frustrating. But just accept beforehand that you are gonna have to redo some of the raids a few times and don't let it get you down. There are some really cool dungeons and fun encounters in the ML stuff, don't just think of it as torture you gotta survive to get abilities for rvr, have some fun and enjoy the sights.
Its kinda funny, as you rvr peeps are starting to look towards the carebear world, I'm starting to look towards RvR. I finally got my respec and now I got bombers that delve higher then light ment dds (/flex). Just need a few more levels on my mad scalar gloves so I can morph into a wolf because right now I get targetted so fast in rvr its sick (hmmm firby in a dress waving around a huge staff, who would think I would stand out?) Anyway, I know some ML steps are a lot easier with an animist so send me a tell if you need some shroomage and I'll head out of emain and back into carebearland.

thanks for the advice booms :) I've never been much of a fan of PvE personally, but now that doing MLs has become inevitable I am going to try and have fun with it, as there's no other choice :).. One advantage to being late in doing the MLs though is that now mythic has fixed a lot of the problems so hopefully the amount of missed steps will be minimal.
Yeah, you don't have to deal with the overpowered and bugged ml4.2, the preggo snakes not spawning in ml3, and the other annoying things that have been fixed.
But still have to deal with some stuff like the stoopid harpies carrying you away just as Runihara is about to die so you dont get credit for ml2.10. First harpie ride is sooooo coool and fun. But 9th harpie ride that makes you not get credit for the step is grrrrrr.
Most fun thing so far is in ml5 when you turn into a mummy and cast like an alb. :D Get nekkid so you can see all the bandages and stuffs.

yeah when I did ML 2 I was really lucky, I didn't get picked up by a harpy at all untill right after the mob died. Then I won the lotto and tried to go and get my reward from the raid leader, but I kept getting picked up over and over again, eventually I just gave up and got a guildie to grab the loot for me ><.
Sorry Cop I can't make this a weekend thing, because a lot of DD isn't on on the weekends, and I want them all to get ML'd up too.
Ml:s are fun at 4am after a bottle of vodka

I think you only want 16 people for ML2. Its supposed to get a lot harder on step 10 with more than that. And everyone goes inside before the fight starts. It is still a tough fight with 16 tho.
And you can rez people to the step 10 ledge from the ocean in case anyone lags off after zoning.
one other thing- the ML 2 solo step can be impossible for some class levels *cough* lv 45 bard *cough* but animist turrets can cheeze anyone past the step

A few more hints for ML2.
The solo step... You can step off of the platform to heal yourself and the mob does not follow. It took a good 10 minutes for my Nurt druid to kill him, but it is doable.
ML 2.10 - this is a trial of patience. 3 tanks and a warden go in and beat the mob down to 2-3% while BG heals from outside. During this time peeps will be continually carried off by harpies. Keep those that do not need the step (botts?) at the left of the group (as facing the building) so that they are carried off. When entering, be patient. Distract the patrolling snakes with NS, if possible, otherwise wait for an opening. I have seen 15-20 minutes of beating the main mob down wasted by idiots rushing in and aggroing the snakes resulting in a BG wipeout. They get so worried they are going to miss credit, they ruin the chance of anyone getting credit. If ever needed, my Shield hero is available to tank and my bott is available as harpy fodder.
I'm always happy to go along on these raids and help. Even more so once I can get 3.2, 3.5, & 3.10 done so that I can actually benefit from the ML exp.

Crend,
Glad to see this - helps the smaller guilds who can't put together a BG to save our souls - Maelstrom will likely be a strong supporter of your Thursday night events. I am going to run ML1 myself this month to catch up peeps.
