Ok. Another question I was thinking about back when we were killing Ibn that last ML8 Raid...

Does Majestic Will do anything for an Animist's Pets spells? or is it just for the spells that the Animist casts?

Actually, all QUI really does is give you a little more chance to evade, a sliiiiight fraction to your swing speed and a tiiiiiiny bit to your +to hit. All on extremely small margins, which is why I'm removing it from my SC template completely.

No way it effects our shrooms. Almost nothing really effects our shrooms. Our personal level, spec level, intelligence, buffs, have no effect on how our shrooms perform (next patch they will effect teh verdant pbaoe, but thats it). Wild power RA does not make our shrooms crit. MoA RA does not make our shrooms cast faster (it makes us cast shrooms faster, but doesn't make the shrooms cast their spells faster), basically almost no RAs effect our shrooms.

Hell, I would be surprised if majestic will even effected our bombers. Most things don't effect our shrooms and bombers and only after much work from our TL does mythic fix things so they effect the bombers. Like most toa bonuses +range, +damage, traldors staff buff, currently don't effect bombers, but will after the next patch. When SI first came out, our intelligence, spec level, etc didn't effect bombers. Bomber damage just sucked till they fixed that.

Wild power RA does effect crits on our bombers, but not on our shrooms. At least according to people on the animist forums on drunkenfriar who swear they have tested it over and over.

Get this. Wild minion RA, which is supposed to make pets crit, only makes the verdant spec melee shroom crit. It doesn't make any other shroom (controlled dd shrooms or fnf dd shrooms) crit at all. In other words DON'T get wild minion.

So in summary, MW does not effect shrooms, it does effect our lifetap, it should effect our bombers but that is probably bugged and I wouldn't count on it till it gets tested. I would post on drunkenfriar forum (our TL posts there) and ask.

if you are a melee, max all qui you can. if you are not screw it.

As long as you have a dex/qui buff, i'm sure you'll still reach the 250 qui cap that effects melee speed. Everyone has an item or two that adds some qui.

I've done a few tests on QUI and I've found that higher QUI = lower overall damage but faster swing. I'm a big fan of 2 or 3 shotting folks, so I personally would rather swing a hair's diff slower and hit for 700 (without crit) on casters.

nope. dont think I ever hit the qui cap on any char but my NS ^^

edit:
and pox:
+qui and haste doesnt decrease damage / swing. it only marginally decreases your style damage bonus because styles are DPS based. overall your damage is increased though (if you keep styling your styles will do the same damage in total in the end. as your base damage is constant per swing you do more damage cause you hit more often).

of course the SPD of the weapon factors in here. if you swing at 1,5 seconds with a 3.0 SPD and could swing at 1,5 with a4.0 or 5.0 SPD weapon you should get the slower one out.

Cope, my damage cap seems to raise without QUI. I use a 5.7 spd scythe and with MoArms 3 and druid haste + TOA gear, my swing is around 2.5 seconds or less.

Of course, my tests were using styles though. The thing that I noticed with QUI is that I was doing about 50-75 less damage per attack but swinging at about 2.3 or 2.2 seconds.

It's the whole frontload thing. For VW though, if I have the choice between 4 swings at 200 a pop vs 2 swings at 400 a pop, I'll take the 2 considering VW have MAJOR issues with missing (and I'll probably miss 2 out of those 4)...whereas I'll take my chances in missnig 1 out of 2 attacks considering that my swing speed is pretty fast already.

Qway, I recently respeced.

I was 48 verd (for best pbaoe hahaha) 22 creep (mediocre snare pet) 11 arb (leftover points to help lifetap variance.

I am now cookiecutter 50 arb 19 creep 7 verdant. I am soooooooooooo happy I respeced. I can't even begin to tell you. I gave up almost nothing by dropping verdant. All I really ever used was the level 7 verdant bladeturn bomber and I still have it. Noone ever seemed to notice the 9% absorb buff, so noone seems to miss it. And the 25% absorb buff was only 15 seconds, not really usefull. The ablat shroom was gimp, not worth casting. I guess I'll be missing out a bit now that the verdant shroom pbaoe is being fixed, but it would have limited use in rvr and my new arb bombers kick ass in rvr and pve.

In general I hate being cookie-cutter and always think I can find some off the wall spec that will make me ublar, but there is just no way around it, 50arb 19creep 7 verdant is awesome, I'm just loving my toon now.
