These are the rules of the FA alliance..they were discussed and voted on in the meeting 12-04-02. I think these are suitable for our new alliance.

Upon discussion, we've decided that any existing guild has veto power over allowing any new guild's entry into the alliance. Discussing why is encouraged in case it's something that may be worked out, however the guild using the veto power may plead "the 5th".

This alliance will be dependent on the cooperation of guild GM's and members keeping the alliance a friendly, fun place concentrating mainly on RvR information.

1. No cussing, flaming, insulting anyone on the /as channel

2. Allowed ding announcements are lvl 50 dings and RR5+ dings

3. Do not spam /as w/advertising for crafting/selling/lfg and so on (spam being defined as anything repeated more than once every 20 mins) Saying it once, having ppl send you for details is fine.

4. GM's only will handle guild members who fail to follow alliance rules. If there is no GM available, find an officer.

5. Joking on /as is fine as long as it doesn't get out of hand. (not insulting, not crude, and not spammed--defined above)

6. A little bit of spam makes the world go around. However, if you are asked to stop, then stop without question. If you must question, take it to private chats.

---If you do not know who a gm or officer of a certain guild is, you can send the highest lvl person you see online for that guild..or check the herald listings for contact addresses and so on.

So there's the starting point, and we're open for discussion as to your thoughts on the above.

Sounds great!

I am happy as long as I can joke every once and a while :hump:

Mo, I wanna make a macro that says:

/as "Please keep alliance chat for large scale RvR purposes only."...

...and spam the hell outta it when I see n00b questions and non-sense. That would be a cool rule to have.

:cheese:

I always play by the rule: Anything goes till you're asked to stop, then you know its too much and just stop.

For the most part I think people are cooperative.

I wanna bump this thread as a refresher for people about the alliance rules we set up at the inception of this allaince.
Also, is it possible for Roo or a forum mod to make this sticky?

There is a whole discussiong over this matter in the /as public forum over scroll spam, so go there to get the whole arguement at hand.

Basically, according to our own rule #3, WTB/WTS scroll over /as is completely allowed, as long as it is not posted more than once every 20 minutes.

I am proposing we have a GM meeting at 2pm this sunday to discuss this rule and the possible modification of it.

I dont think anyone frequenting these boards regularly belongs to the spammer-category. :)

No, but GM's and Officer's of guilds in the alliance should frequent these boards, know the rules of the alliance, and control their members accordingly. I think thats the point of this sticky.

Is there any way that this can be utilized as a must read for registering up into LoL. This would ensure that all who register for this board actually knows the rules. Or another suggestion would be to have this made into a link that comes up first then the boards. Just ideas...

there are people who use these forums who aren't in the alliance, and aren't even playing DAoC =)
