Thanks Boom, I looked stuff up and hit disputes at daoc with the following. Hope he gets in a bit of shit for nerfing poor Flattulance:

Upon re-reading your manual, I found that CSR Ithine lied to me. As you will see from the attached screenshot, he stated that upgrading a porch would result in the loss of my consignment merchant. This is not stated anywhere in the manual.

Nowhere in the manual does it state that upgrading a porch will cause a consignment merchant to disappear.

I find it disappointing that your customer service representatives would lie to me.

Please let me know why I was mis-informed by CSR Ithine and let me know if anything may be done about the lost consignment merchant.

Sincerely,

Lance "Morety" Moreton

2. If your appeal is escalated to another queue, you will receive an e-mail alerting you of this, and giving you details about the escalation. You will NOT be able to get a status (using the /Appeal command) on any appeals that have been escalated.

3. If this is a "How do I..." type of question, please use the /Advice channel to get it answered. You will not receive a reply to these types of questions from a CSR.

Sorry to hear about the consignment merchant Mo. I'll have two plat to give to you when i get on today. I'll fill up your lock box as well. Hope that makes up for the merchant a bit.

I like how you worked in the hint of sarcasm when speaking to the csr though.

Mo, I think it is in the manual... sort of...it's not the exact situation, but it's close...

:(

http://www.camelotherald.com/housing/manual/chapter4.php

In the section on "Guild housing"

If your home has housing vaults or a consignment merchant, these items will NOT transfer when you upgrade your home to be a guild house. If you desire to transfer these items, you must pick them up and trade them from your inventory separate of the home itself.

And, even though I wasn't exactly a fan of the name, it totally SUCKS that they use your /appeal as the time to notice and nerf the name. Just seems vindictive.

Buggery mythic.

Don't think that applies here. The house was not upgrade to a Guild House. He just did a porch upgrade.

He didn't really "upgrade" anything. Not like he went from cottage to villa or something. All he did was change the color of the wood on the porch. Obviously that shouldn't make a consign merchant disappear.

maybe the con. merchant didnt like the color and decided to leave on his own????

just a thought

GET THEM FOR ALL THERE WORTH MO!!!!!!

hmm I first thought that mo had made an uprgade to the house. Since thats how the CSR was acting. I really dont think the CSR understands the situation here. I would also send an email to Sanya (Sanya@darkageofcamelot) and put "CSR Dispute" in the subject line. She seems to like to get involved with these kind of affairs. Also mention that your a GM of guild of long time active players.

If she doesnt respond (or you like to email)

Send an Email Rob DiBiano (hes the(or one of the) Game Support Manager) with the same subject line, his email is, rdibiano@mythicentertainment.com. I know a few people who have had disputes and he was the one the ended up talking to.

if that doesnt work you could always email

dispute@darkageofcamelot.com

anyway good luck mo and keep posting

Mo, you forgot to add to the end of your appeal:

"log off your albion toons and fix this ASAP"...

then again, if you were a stinky alb yourself, then instead of losing your merchant you would have gained 3 more for free.

/sarcasm off

Great, now they come out with this:

- (NEW 9:08 AM EDT) You can no longer upgrade a house to a bigger one if you have any item attached to a hookpoint. This means that if you have a consigment merchant, vault, portal NPC, regular merchant, etc. attached to a hookpoint in your house, you'll have to pick it up before upgrading to a larger house.

Figures...

I'm thinking the NPC was probably just like Towlie.

"But then one day Towlie got high and just sort of wandered off"

you need to crack down on your npc merchants' pot use. I mean... just look what it's done to Banana and Ando!
