n00b stealth questions

yesterday in bg0, boom and i saw an alb ( i think ) that had this pbaoe spell.

questions:
1) if you're in the radius you get unstealthed? can you re-stealth right away or did that count as "in combat" and you have to wait?

2) they can cast it on the run? how is this fair? :O

3) unrelated, but sorta: all pets ignore stealth and can instantly find you? i hate those mid golem things that cast disease or whatever on you. :(

1) you are put into combat when you are hit.

2)the reaver pulsing pbaoe does crappy dmg.

3)yes pets can attack you while stealthed... but dont usually do us unless told to attack you before you stealth. ie, they wont randomly attack you by themselves.

it did do crappy damage.. but still deadly when they're spamming it on the run and i'm stealthed and moving slower than a snail.

i hate albs. and mids. diiiiie! :dead:

Things I learned as a Nightshade:

1. Never attack a pet class unless you are sure you can kill them.
2. Never get within range of any PB spells unless you are going for a kill
3. Stay off trails, Unless you setting up for PA

Ranger Rules:

1. You are not a scout... Do not let ppl force you to do the job of a shade.
2. If your stealth gets popped or your see a char in shade mode drop stealth and sprint a ways away to restealth


General Stealth Rules:

1. The sole thing that makes you even with other classes is stealth so do not travel out of stealth mode even though you move slow.
2. Keep safe distance between you and your pray... There are many more ppl in the area then you see.
3. NEVER use doors while in stealth mode unless you must. Every SB and inf will come right to you.
4. Watch were most other stealthers hunt and don't hunt there because everyone else knows to check there.
5. A solo caster is bait

Basicly that is how I stay alive in RvR with my shade and how I did well in BG's with my ranger. Hope that helps even though I did add a lot more then you asked.

yea. i found that out. a solo tall rezzer type ( she had an instrument i think ) is also bait. BAIT FOR stupid stupid stealthy invisible trolls! pffft.

Hehehe, the troll was the bait. It was a buffbot. Big ugly female with face made of stone. The stealthers who killed us (shadowblades) were norsemen. Trolls are like our Firblogs, the big strong type, except they look like The Thing from Fantastic Four. Norsemen are like our Celts, they just human guys, but they look like big ugly vikings usually with bad mustaches. Mids can also be Kobolds, which look like ugly smurfs, and they are magicy like our elves I guess. And of course they have dwarves, which is like take our lurikeen and beat him with the ugly stick for a few months.

Oh, and our rangers can scout just fine in bg0 and bg1. It isn't until assassins get "See Hidden" that they can see you when you are stealthed. Even then, if your "Camoflague" is up See Hidden doesn't work. At level 30 we get Camoflague, if we shoot an arrow or get in combat, Camo drops and we gotta wait 10 minutes to put it up again.

Even in BG0 and BG1 most NS's (Non-Autotrain ones) will have far better stealth then a ranger... and getting caught one on one with a assassin is something a lowbie ranger is not built for.

Unless you have a ranger like mine with full bow and pierce spec with a buff bot in the PK :) OJ inf PAed me and I PWNED him so bad he ended up running and caught a arrow in the back for the final hit... I got killed because I was to busy laughing and not running.
