I think that the crash problem I had, was directly related to a stick of RAM. :p I added a 256 MB stick of Crucial a couple months ago and to my surprise (crucial makes some quality RAM) I had a couple weird reboot probs every once in a while and I never had the prob before adding the ram. I am going to try and add some of the same brand name ram to the machine and see it that helps. The 256 MB stick in the machine right now is Kingston pc2100 ddr cl3 and the crucial stick is pc2100 ddr cl2.5. Would that cause a conflict?

Well it is definitely the ram. I just play tested it for about half an hour on the LoL server as well as others to see if it was either the server or the BR map that was causing it and I didnt have a single crash. That is the longest I have layed without a crash, so I am very happy about it right now.

You're welcome Bangin.

Well, I would definitely recommend sticking with the same timing of RAM.

Try swapping the sticks. Put the Crucial back in by itself -- see if it crashes. If it does, RMA it with Crucial.

If it doesn't - go buy more Crucial to stick in there.

Ok I was mistaken both are cl2.5.

I just switched the ram and it played fine with just the crucial inside. No crashes. I added the second stick and tried running with both in the machine again and not too long after I got a crash.

Maybe my mobo just doesn't like mixing RAM. I have a 128MB stick of Kingston coming today that I was going to add to the ex-lady bangin's machine. She only has 128, so maybe what I will do is take the kingston stick in her machine now and the new stick to put in mine and give her the 256 stick of crucial. That way I have all kingston in my joint and she still gets a quality upgrade.

Ok this gets a bit weirder. I added the 128 MB stick that I got today to the machine and the crashes started again. Same brand name and the same specs, so I thought I would try something else. I have 4 DIMM slots for the RAM, so I moved one stick so that there was a stick in the first and third slots and the 2nd and 4th were empty. Sound goofy? Looks goofy. But it works. LOL

Must be a bad DIMM slot. The mixed RAM is working fine right now, so I will keep it that way until I have time to do a couple hours of play testing to make sure the crashes stop.
