- the rock boss in Stonecore, has a couple of buffs, one that screwed melee and the other that screws spellcasting. In normal, you can dodge these. In heroic, you need to get the dot applied to you after getting hit by the appropriate buff. He stuns you periodically, and if you don't break out of the stun, it hits me for 50k+ damage. The dot from his buff, though, will break me out.
- Not only that, he has two AoEs: one that's a front cone, and the other that has a wide area around him, like 15 in-game yards (that's just under 14 meters for some of you bastards). The big deal here is it can be LoS'd, meaning the tank can use part of the wall in the tunnel he's in to hide behind when it hits. (S)He just wants to be in position for the font-cone one so it's turned away from the group. For that one, the tank can run under the boss' legs since it has a long cast time.
- The one I'm most proud of (because I figured it out and the rest of the group gave me many gratz), is the trash giants in there. They have a stomp called earthquake that does damage to everyone in the group. It can be avoided, though, by timing a jump so you're in the air when it lands. Yay me.
