View Full Version : So what's everyone playing now?
Just wondering what game everyone's playing these days. I'm looking for something new to play without being a slave to hardcore grind and endless progression requirements.
Decent PvP would be a plus.

I'm playing with myself.
:)
I typically log in quickly and play some TF2 before I pass out. On the rare occasion I have a lot of time, I log into WoW.
So how's it going Wolf?
I think I finally got burned out on shooters for good, after doing that shit for a living in Afghanistan. They just don't capture my attention anymore.
Uncle Sam is picking up the tab for me to finish my bachelor's as part of benefits earned by serving. So in less than a year I've gone from the burning desert sands to the climate-controlled classroom again (students have NO idea just how good they have it).
I've spent years trying to go to school part-time while working my ass off and barely making progress, so this is a welcome change of pace.

Most of us are playing WOW. Slicks and I are playing World of tanks, but it's an FPS in a tank (German, American, Russian)
Think Unreal Tournament in a big casing of steel.

I still picture you in class snickering about when your teacher mentioned hot carls.
Grat's on the schooling. Are you still taking forensics?

I play TF2 on occasion, mainly been playing Bad Company 2. TF2 isn't really a shooter in a sense, it lacks all realism :). BC2 though is your normal shooter.
The rest of my free time has been spent building a persistent browser based game, think civilization without the graphics and a hopefully more fully featured :).
Yah, my Associate's is in forensic tech, didn't take me long to realize not having a bachelor's just wasn't gonna be enough.
Was originally planning to just coast along and get a Criminal Justice degree but my biology background from forensics gave me a strong shot at a B.S. and with the option of actually being full-time student I figured I'd jump at it.
Friends tried to get me back into EQ2 and it simply does not(and never did) cut the mustard, Marines tried to get me into WoW(enormous military population, I found out), and my experiences with a tremendously unbalanced server population in DAoC back in the day make me hesitant to come back.
So I'm floating around again. I refuse to do the massive grind, so that eliminates a lot.

Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 are both solid games. So is Bioshock. For the single player experience.

I like it alot for a shooter game. I feel like i have a chance for once. They just added the US tank line for the beta and they are fun to play also.
