It has some things I really like, others that I don't care for which would be par for the course in politics, its never exactly how you'd like it to be. :)

Ideally this stuff would have already been dealt with on multiple state platforms, but since nothing is being done, and the market, which is extremely "free" isn't correcting itself and offering us what we want, then a federal regulatory solution is better than the status quo.

Why cant they just let insurance companys cross state lines......that would totally help fix health care with out costing us a shit ton of cash and break the backs of every american citizen for "free health care".

I believe that is what the new "marketplace" is supposed to permit. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I havent heard anything about the marketplace letting them cross state lines. Only forcing them to compete more due to government stepping in and lowering costs themselves.

It is kind of in a messed up way Harm. It was the states that decided to pass laws preventing cross state insurance and the 'Exchange' system they are setting up still lets the states set the rules on who or what can be part of their exchange. So at the end of the day the net result is the same.
