I have been hopeful that those prisoners are gitmo would get a day in an American court. It seems that day is finally coming.

He also said they'd be out of there by January but that isn't happening either. Why would we hold out any hope he'd stick by this either?

It'd be more humane to just shoot them and get it over with.

Well progress has been made, just thought I'd make a note of it to update this topic. Seems he is sticking to his guns on this one, which has only fed to the Republican hard-on for anything, even good for our country things, to attack Obama with.

Kegg, some adminstrations promise things that never materialize. I thing 8-12 weeks off it not too bad :)

I read the article and I kind of agree with Giuliani. The security requirements for the trials to occur in NYC I would bet would need to be 3-4x more than any other US city. I would not be surprised if any NYC residents tried to attack the defendants. I don't think I would object either to be honest.

Side note: being that the trials will be held in NYC, would an impartial jury be possible? If not, whats the possibility of a mis-trial, and they all walk free?
