I agree with him. It is complete BS that the two major parties can make the rules to screaw the little guy then just ignore them outright when applied to them.

well, the balance of power between party and official government is a recurring theme. I won't mention specifics, because it'll sound too much like alarmism, but--because parties represent the literal power of popularity to achieve the resources and efforts needed to get into office, *their* ability to legislate has a kind of de facto reality that supercedes de jour law. When a party reaches a kind of critical mass, there is often a struggle between what is pseudo legal regulation within the party, and party appointments, and the existing government. For instance, you can see the super delegate thing with the dems and the republican proportionally higher cost of buy-in as a candidate differences, which are both, I would say, fundamentally unconstitutional--but completely legal, because they're private organizations. If imaginary 3rd party had internal regulations denying that a member could be an atheist, or black, or had to have certain very painful body piercings--and this party consistently put people into the highest offices, then we'd be living in a situation where 2 legal systems were in competition. Arguably, the govt trumps the private interest, but the private interest appoints the people to govt. So... yeah.
