Saw this guy in Pineapple Express and then in Tropic Thunder and really made me laugh. Looks like he has his own movie coming to DVD "The Foot Fist Way".

Not safe in general.

Funny. The "leading character" looks like a great actor.

(this coming from a semi-inebriated person)

(yes, it took me about 6 delete key .. 7.. to finish this post).

I wanted to revisit this because we finally got a chance to see the movie. It came via Netflix and we watched last night. It starts out slow and awkward in comparison to the great trailer but overall it gets better as it goes and ends on a high note. I wasnt drunk at all but I can see getting very drunk and watch this again with some Lions.

Its so low budget its pretty much sub-porno quality ($70k budget and shot in 19 days). A couple of these folks went to school together at NC school of arts.

I took karate and it definately nailed the strip-mall karate school stereotypes with the mix of adults and kids taking the same class, and the bully instructor who takes himself too serious.

So this stars Danny McBride who was in Tropic Thunder and we really liked in Pinnaple Express with Seth Rogan. At one point his Karate 'best friend' shows up and is one of the most memorable creepy characters ever and who is also the movie's writer/director, Jody Hill. That was his first movie and was he just signed by Warner to write/direct another movie with Seth Rogan in it, Observe and Report. He is also the writer/director of East Bound and Down which will have Danny McBride in it. So we will see if he can be funnier on a real budget.

I just wanted to add that it's not really a comedy. That's what we were expecting, and it took us awhile to adjust to the mood of the movie, which was rather somber, sometimes uncomfortable, and occasionally funny.
