Hello Lions!
As some of you know, I am building a web site specifically for firefighters. One area is going to be dedicated to a wiki-style Firehouse Cooking section. Any firefighter can tell you that they basically rotate between the same 6 meals over and over, because the same crew makes the same stuff. I'm hoping to change that.
If you have a recipe that could be expanded to feed 10 big eaters, please let me know! We'd like to get 30 recipes or so to start the site's cooking section off (between meals of all sizes and times of day). Credit will, of course, be given where it is due :)

Blake, I could probably help some with this. What are the 6 meals that are repeated now for reference?

Pasta Pasta TacoStuff Hamburgers Tuna Pasta. Very simple crap. I'm really hoping to break that chain, although it is usually important to keep the protein and carbs high for the big meals.

Anything outside the American ordinary, honestly. Today I was given a great way to make pitas for 12 and I absolutely love it.

Dunno if this is practical for you, but on the army base where I work, the firehouse is also a cafe and beer bar...they have a big grill and charge a flat fee for people to come in and cook what they want out of the supplies and drink out of the keg. This helps pay for the food, keeps the grill hot, and makes life a bit less boring around the place. Nobody abuses the privileges for obvious reasons involving large persons smelling of smoke. In any case I'd suggest getting a grill. Burgers. Pork chops. Corn. Beer can chicken. Beef brisket over baked potatoes. Brats with kraut and German fried potatoes. Greek kabobs. Dern it now I'm hungry
