Thought it would be a good idea to start listing what professions people are going to take. since we are starting to get people up there in levels.
I've taken Weaponsmith & Gemcutter.
(Do not put a Gem in the slot for a weapon or you will crash to desktop). :ack:

I am focused on ACing right now (almost done with T1) but I think I will take Gem crafting at some point.

other than making food or potions(not sure if this is a craft), from my understanding is that different armor or weapons with stats do not really do anything...

I picked up architecture... we really really don't need anyone else picking it up (trust me you will regret it). It sucks! It will take over 100g to just finish the architect quests (I don't see that happening anytime soon). To top it off, they don't seem to have any use after the guild city is built, so then you are out a prof slot for no real reason. There is nothing you can build that is useful whats so ever and each thing costs at least 2g (just for the plan).

ya, that there is no use for it now doesnt mean it will stay that way forever.
as for items / gem slots, the patch today should fix them, however I read that there is still a bug that causes Stats not to have any effect (i.e. + Str does not add to damage etc...).

I just put 3 tier 3 gems on a tier 3 satin trousers and the stats STILL do not show up on the trousers. However, if i equip them, the stats do go up.
Im currently wearing some bracers with +48 hiding +4.1 2 handed DPS and yes, my hiding and DPS do increase.
Cannot put gems on cloaks at the moment for some reason, they have slots, but no gem ive made will allow on a cloak.

is there a dps stat or something? How can you tell your dps went up? I would like to know b/c sometimes I have trouble picking weapons.
As far as crafting goes, I know literally nothing about what is useful. Anyone have any suggestions? I originally wanted to do architecture but I guess since Beara already has that covered I don't know anymore.

There are two stats on a weapon, damage per second and damage range.
When equipped it will show you the DPS you will do with all buffs etc. If you mouse over a weapon in your inventory it will also give you DPS including all buffs etc.
Armorcrafting seems the most painful as you have to pharm the leather from animals, and thats a little painful. Especially at tier 3-4 as i am finding very few animals in the level 41-60 range than drop them. Apes in EM do, but theres very few of them and long respawn, pluss alot of people killing them.
Did 30+ wolves in fields of the dead, and not a single drop so i think they are bugged with the new patch as i used to get them from there.
