Sad:( It seems like every mmo I've played I had to by a new comp to run it. I just bought a new tundra and built a kick ass home theatre room so I'm a little broke atm. I'm going to have to dig deep to find some cash to build a new pc.. My comp barely makes it pass the login prompt. it does meet the min specs but really is unplayable

Anyways... I'm really looking forward to gaming with you guys again. Give me a month or 2 to get a new PC:) Until then I will be lurking around lots on the AoC forums :)

throw some money into a vid card. It's 99% of the battle on its own.

AMD 3500, 1GB Ram, 60gb raptor, ATI9800Pro (AGP) <-I had to edit a AoC file to disable shading to get rid of the flickering:) I will never buy another ati card again....

I did reserve my char names though:) Hey Mo:) Spyder! Everyone!!!

Life has been crazy lately and as usual:), here's my short RL story over the last 2 years while on MMO detox..:)

Now a faja of 3 kids with 1 more on the way (gotta do something if not playing video games;) I meant to get my nuts cut before xmas, oh well crazy times), we did an adoption just over a year ago (think I posted about it), went Caymens and still a crazy OMGWTF runner. Life has really been awesome and I'm really looking forward to hanging out with my online buds!!

Hmm.. well at least you have a decent ATI card. Your whole system isn't going to be easy to upgrade piecemeal, you need more memory for sure, and a faster video card no doubt. But a speedier CPU would obviously be very helpful. I wouldn't replace the videocard mostly because you'd have to buy an AGP one, which limits your selection a lot. Not to mention that if you then upgrade your motherboard you have to find a mobo with AGP instead of (or along with) PCI Express.

I do think you can probably play okay on minimum settings w/ low rez. At least well enough to do pve anyway.

Also, it sounds like you've been keeping yourself very busy!

Thanks Spyder;) I thought the same thing... I'm going to give my old comp to my dad and just buy a new one.

Have between 30-50fps on highest settings with a 1.5 year old comp so any of todays medium rigs should deliver a enyoyable playtime.

1gb of ram is the absolute minimum for the game. I wouldn't be surprised if that's your problem, without being a hardware junkie like these guys. I'm running a 8800gts and use 2gb of ram, not getting great performance either unless I have the settings on low. Thinking of doubling the gfx card with another one and bumping to 4gb ram
