Found this little program on the Age of Conan Forums.... It tests your PC against the "Required" and "Recommended" system specs for the game...

AHAHAHAHHAAHAAA

I ran the test on my obelisk of death, and it said I passed min spec no sweat, but said I failed recommended.

In total despair I clicked the recommended tab to see why, oh why, I wouldn't be able to run AoC in all its glory, and it said the only thing I failed was I'm missing the recommended OS: Vista. I have XP. It offered a helpful link if I wanted to upgrade.

If the test wants me to switch to software that will make everything suck harder, I don't know how valid it is.

pass / fail

Oh well.. I dont play any game with the graphics turned up. My eyes suck anyways, so I never know the difference. 1024x768 is my setting of choice, so I think i will be fine :)

I just replaced the (dead) fan on my mobo's northbridge today with a passive heatsink. It remains to be seen if that will be effective enough. The internets said this model was pretty good, but I don't know if I should trust them.

I'm sure I'm just barely above the minimums, my computer is fully 2 years old. I'm not going to upgrade right now but may more towards the end of the year.

I only have the E6400 processor not the E6600 so I'm just one step below recommended.

I wonder what settings recommended allows you to run it at? If i get the game I hope I would be able to run it at fairly high settings still.
