No, there is no built in Voip in this game at this time. not sure if there will be one added at some point.

Iam running X-Fire anyway. have no problem using it ingame with you guys. although I might not understand everything nor might you understand me all the time :D

Has anyone looked in to getting a TS or vent server for this game. I had a TS server back a few years ago. i can look in to getting one set up by tonight if its needed. Just need to know how many people that will be logging in to it. 20-30 man or more.

I'd guess we would need at least 30 to start. I'm assuming we can add more spots if needed?

If you look into what it takes to get one set up, I 'may' be able to lay out the coin for the first year and accept some donations in order for us to get a reliable TS server going.

I believe Muadi looked into the costs recently in DAoC as we were potentially going to put up a TS server.

I would say TS as its not as harsh on the system as Vent, but honestly if your system has problems running vent you cant run conan hehehe :)

In the past, Vent used a much smaller packet, and still sounds great. I use a free/personal server all the time. It allows up to 8 to connect.
TS in the past was kind of resource heavy. But I'm sure with the current software, both are pretty similar. Its just a pref. I think.

the sound quality on TS and vent are the same, so long as you use the same codec. The problem is that TS defaults to some crappy bitrate so it sounds terrible. But if you put them both on the same bitrate/codec, it's almost exactly the same thing.

They always have seemed the same to me. I never understood why people seem to be so pro or anti for either program. We have one up and running is all the matters to me :) I would be happy to donate a few bucks if we get a decent one set up for AoC.

I don't "actually" know the answer to this... I'm not sure if it is associated with how you install the game or where you purchased that game...

you need to get the US/North American version of the game just like for DAoC to play on the US Servers.

EU version == EU servers only.
